Our JTR gets dropped off a week from today for new wheels, tires and re-gear.

If you're running the 37" MT BB A/T could you share what you have the tire diameter programmed to?

JScan says to measure the actual diameter of the tire, which will undoubtedly be less than the nominal 37" size, as well as the 36.7" on the MT web page. I'm just after a sanity check value for when I pick the Gladiator up from the shop and have to measure the diameter myself in the parking lot. Not concerned with super accurate speedometer / odometer at this point, just want it to run and shift without issues on the drive home.

Thanks.

I have the exact same tires in my Tazer at 36.2" seems to be dead on for the actual speed versus speedometer

Mine always seem to match speed checks and gps speed. Mine are set at 36” even. But the setting won’t be the same for everyone, as people run different psi, pretty dramatically changing the diameter. At 35psi they measure about 36.5”. At 27psi, recommended by Mickey Thomson for a gladiator, they’re closer to 36.0”.

That’s why the psi should be set when the tires are at their coldest. Again, per Mickey Thomson for a gladiator rubicon with an original metric 33” tire at 37psi cold, they recommend 27psi for their BB A/T. Mine warm up to around 32, depending on driving type and ambient temp.

Did you do a chalk test at 27 psi. How much difference do you think there is between a Rubicon and a Mojave on the recommended tire pressure.

I trusted the tire manufacturer. I’m on my second set, do 5 way rotations every 5k miles, and they wear perfectly. What tires to Mojave’s come with per the door sticker? I read the door sticker to Mickey support. I’m hey have a calculator that spits out the correct psi for different tires. Calling them is the best way to be accurate. A friend is running 35x12.5x17 in the same tire, and they recommended 30psi for his Mojave.

30psi was for 35” tires. They recommended 27psi for 37’s for mine. I’d just call them. I’m even running those tires on my trailer. They were able to recommend psi for it as well.

This will vary depending on tire pressure, wheel width and weight of the jeep. I switched the numbers in my tazer 3 times for my tires and ended up being +1 mph vs gps at 70 mph

I recommend you do a chalk test to determine the right pressure for your jeep and then play with the settings to check the speedo vs gps.

You can email too if you can’t get them on the phone. Have your wheel specs ready and door jamb info handy.
