Warm tip:
These CAN'T be used as a Jack point for a high-lift Jack

If these can't be used as a jack point then why would I consider them for rock rails? If they can't hold up to a jack how will they hold up to rocks?

0.06" is close to 14 ga sheet metal, or simply put 1.6mm which isn't very thick. Potential buyers please be aware of this.

Reminds me of Halloween as a kid, wearing fangs and black cape; doesn’t mean that I could drain blood from anyone.

it’s just a costume, and may not even serve as a good step rail. Looks good though. Car dealerships eat this stuff up, and sell it to unsuspecting buyers.

Beat me to it. It's literally 1/16 of an inch thick. Not even 14 ga.

These aren't rock rails, not with those flimsy mounting tabs. In your last thread you wanted feedback about your products; this right here is why I don't trust your products and probably never will.

These are pointless and will end up causing much more damage if they are ever bumped. They are a cosmetic addition that adds no value or performance.

Tell whatever numskull who named these because "SEO" to stop it already.

I totally understand your feelings and don't want to say anything to win your trust.
It takes many years to build true trust, but it only takes a moment to destroy it.
We will always be on the road, at least it will not remain unchanged. I believe we will all get better and better. I wish you a happy life.

Am not sure why they would have the word “guards” in the name, when they wouldn’t be effective at guarding against anything.

Maybe they just identify as rock sliders?

in any case, the naming is misleading, and I consider it as false advertising. This isn’t much different than people cat fishing other people online. It’s dishonest.

What's the point of this? So you splashed mud on them, what does it prove? There's no impacts, nothing to rub against, no rocks that are even in the same zip code. If these are "guards" what are they guarding against?

Depends who you ask
Y’all the description even says that rock crawler look. These are mall crawler guards for two hundred bucks I wouldn’t expect very much protection sorry. These kinda remind me of the old JC Whitney catalog bolt on fake blower for that street rod look.

One issue I see with these is that they are body mounts instead of the frame mounts that are needed for solid rock sliders that will support the vehicle on boulders. There are others out there with the same construction and when shopping for good sliders I look for frame mounts. Good ones are usually upward near a grand or more unless they're on sale.

Oh my god.

I can't tell what is worse- the mounting point, the thinness of the steel, or the advertising. This is honestly really, really bad, and there needs to be a disclaimer that these are strictly for looks and should not be used as a rock slider.

They’d guard the “mall crawler” build in the first picture against door dings. And it’s right on the budget and price point for many guys not wanting more. So that’s awesome. But the advertisement I agree with the general sentiment the product marketing should reflect that. Otherwise you’ll get a lot of disappointment or disapproval as it’s happening here.

For others that really want to buy rock crawlers, you should know that the price of the metal alone and the welding labor will already put it in the $600 then add margins and whatnot and you get to serious solutions like whiteknuckle Offroad. They use .120 or .188 dom (you choose), welds are sound and they mount to the frame, as they should. So shout out to them.

Eh, I just like that they are super up front about the thickness and don't try and hide that.

They are perfect for that black Gladiator in the post. Looks the look and they will stop doors in parking lots. haha
