Hey brother. Hope you faired the hurricanes alright. I was actually meaning to reach out.

And yeah.. A mid size on 37’s isn’t the best towing vehicle, I’m sure if the heat weren’t an issue because I had a 3.6 the lack of low end torque would be. I’m going to be going Power Wagon and probably eventually an XJ I can build up and not worry about scratching.
I did pretty good, Helene didn't do anything to me, and Milton knocked out power for a few days but the propane held out for the generator so no worse for wear. My parents house got 3 feet of water from Helene though so it's been a lot of work gutting and fixing.

Truck actually does ok on the 38s and 5.13s but I wouldn't want to tow anything bigger than I have. It definitely didn't enjoy the mountains of TN. The power wagon is what I've been looking at too, although the new scout looks pretty interesting.

Yeah the Gladiator was never intended to be a legit "tow rig"......the numbers just don't add up

Honestly, what I needed to tow, the JT was fine by the numbers usually. It was the oil temps that pushed me crazy. I had 0 issues in 3 years and 34,000 miles, other than the oil temps going up even empty in the summers here.

I ended up with a “real truck” that could handle what I need.

I’ll end up with a Jeep again, but right now I can only have one vehicle. If you can only have one, having a pick up is never a bad idea.
