This will probably be a lame build journal for most but thought I would start one nonetheless.

Picked up this 2025 Base Sport in Anvil last Friday 12/20. This will be my 4th Gladiator with two prior Rubicons and a Willys. Reasons for picking up the this base is an attempt to getting back to a simple daily driver after building my Rubicons to something that while looked great and performed great on the trail, sucked as daily commute drivers.

Picked this up almost by happenstance for dirt cheap with current rebates and pretty good dealer discount. Paid $36K with only options being the Hardtop, Bedliner and Slush Mats. Coupled with Automatic now standard across the board for all 2025's, the Base Sport now has power windows and locks standard with no more manual crank windows or locks.

Only immediate plans is to get a class III hitch and some take off rock rails. I do not mind the steelie wheels but eventually will get some 33's for tires but not against getting some alloy take off wheels/tires if the price is right.

Welcome back with your new Gladiator! @ 36 k I need to take a look at the inventory on the local dealership lot. Good luck keeping your new Jeep mostly stock. You’ve been through it with previous Jeeps. It’s a Jeep thing seems like parts just start showing up.

Having just come out of a sport s with slightly oversized (285/75) tires into a stock Mojave (only driven a couple days). The mpg are way way down. 16 v 22 but still under 200 miles so maybe improved later. Point being. If you go bigger stay narrow-ish to keep that sport mpg looking decent. I really like the Nitto Ridge grappers. Quiet, great off road (fl sand), and mpg hit wasn't as big. Those steelies would work with the narrow nittos

If your towing needs don’t exceed 5000 lb just add a 2 inch receiver from Amazon I put back bumper on two chairs to mount top bolt without cutting hole in bumper ( don’t have to disconnect wiring harness) I did add some Loctite and add brake controller

It appears there is not deep tint on the rear windows? I actually like that.

I got the 2" receiver in from Quadratec on Saturday. Just need time and weather to get it installed.

Yeah, it is without tint. Kind of a niggle with me but not a deal breaker. The builder on Jeep.com kind of left it ambiguous giving me the impression they came deep tinted now with the new base model but that was not to be.

Love that color, I would have ordered my 23 in that if it was available.

I’ve seen some guys take the steelie spare from a Mojave and paint them. Looks great! $36k is a great deal IMO.

Got a break in the weather and installed the Quadratec Class III hitch assembly. Install went pretty easy for the most part. Top down bolt was a bit of a pisser getting to the 320 ft-lb torque spec.

Installed the 4Dtech start/stop eliminator. Since I was in the SGW, hooked up my bypass cable set and using JSCAN, enable the rear camera trailer hitch zoom function that was missing since the truck did not have the tow package. Also messed around and enabled my front amber turn signals to be my DRL's. Discovered the USA market base model does not come with any DRL function.

Picked up and installed a set of take off rock rail sliders today.

Glad to see you back, I had to do some looking since someone that lives near me bought one just like yours. :like: it's been by my house a time or two today. I like the color and change to front bumper/grill. I'd liked the steel rims for mine over brite aluminum finish. I'll have to re-PlastaDip mine in good weather. Looks great now as long as you can keep the modifications bug away to keep the mpg's. :giggle:
