Last week we picked up a new camper, as the title states, a Grand Design 151 RB.

We only boondock, ever, period. Camper will never see a plug in or a piece of concrete, and it's just my wife, myself, and our two little dogs.

Murphy bed as a feature is nice, mattress sucks lol.

20' long, 3600 lbs empty, it's slightly larger than I'd like, but had the best floorplan for us, and within what our Mojave is rated for.

Also bought a Blue Ox hitch and a Curt brake controller, which it definitely needs.

Look forward to lots of years of adventures :)

Looks good man! Boondocking is the way to go imo. Personally I feel like you got a solid size. The gals in my family forced my arm and made me upsize from my tiny Rpod (i thought it was perfect) to a big ass NOBO. My mojave hauls her around alright but it ain't fast or efficient by any means.

I have the Murphy bed in mine too (Vantage Sonic SN220VRB), and LOVE it. Both sides can be accessed easily. That means I can get up in the middle of the night to go pee without disturbing the Bride.

Yeah, the factory mattresses totally suck. They're like 2" thick (thin 🤔 🤔🤔:CWL::CWL::CWL::CWL:) and, you might as well be sleeping on the hard wood or the floor. First thing I bought for mine was a 4" thick memory foam mattress. HUGE difference. I put it on top of the factory mattress so...works nicely. I can still fold up the Murphy bed with it on there, no muss, no fuss,

That is the perfect sized trailer to pull with a Mojave. Ive got a similar floorplan on my r pod but it doesnt have a pull out trash bin or pet dish. I did install airbags to help level out the squat.

Holy crap, that's a big 'un. Are you running a WDH?

Been looking at a 3700 lb Hybrid camper after selling our pop up. Still undecided if I'll go that way or get an newer pop up.

Looks nice. Yeah, camper companies just don't seem to get mattresses right. Did you tow her before you went to the Blue Ox?

It was. Comfy and fun. Plus bonus points daisy (the mojave) got muddy getting to the site. Our plan is to camp where the cars can't

i run a recurve HD WDH and Airlift 1000 helper bags too. and my top speed is about 65-68 mph @6th gear. TBH i wouldn't go any faster than 60mph even if I had a hemi and could do it. just because the trailer weighs more than the tow vehicle by a decent bit. An F150 at 5600-6000lbs has a bit more control to impose. this 5300lb midsize pickup does not.

Yeah when I'm not with the gals that need the big camper. I'm looking for a offroad teardrop a little smaller than yours to support trips longer than a week. I also like the idea of having a basecamp to leave the trailers so i can unhook and run my Mojave light for the fun stuff

No, I have WD hitches on all my trailers that aren't fifth wheel.

Looking at this exact same trailer. How is it working out for you? Good build quality and whatnot?
