Ok, tech gurus....I absolutely want the "Tesla Like" experience of the new 2025 Gladiator screen. Anybody want to opine as to how big a modification that would be?

I'm pretty sure that would be a 'buy a new truck' type modification.

When there is a will, there is a way.

Start by looking at the part diagrams and compare. Does all of the new stuff bolt into the pre-existing dash?

Would or will the new stuff plug into the existing harnesses.

Will the new stuff communicate with the current HVAC and infotainment modules?

A lot of research needs to be done up front OR say fuck it/YOLO and find a whole dash assembly and get to work and see if it works.

Part of me is inclined to say Jeep was to cheap to completely reengineer the dash and modules to add the new UConnect and bigger screens. I have been keeping an eye out for a wrecked '24+ for the parts. It would be cool to see if this is just a simple bolt in solution.

Give it time, if it can be done someone will figure out how.
There is also the cool factor of being the first to do it.

Back with the first gen Colorados I was able to verify and make the gauge cluster and headlight switch from the Hummer H3 work in the Colorado/Canyons. It all worked with some modifications and trimming.

I wouldn’t hold your breath … I’m still waiting for a way to convert my 8.4 Uconnect5 to the 8.4 Uconnect6 … they make a harness to convert and it bolts in but the functionality isn’t 100%

Just add this

Carobotor Jeep Wrangler Digital Instrument Cluster Dashboard+radio J-Max For Jeep wrangler JL / JT

I know there are a few threads on this specific dash.

But from what I remember reading in the threads earlier the whole dash is completely different with different A/C vents and some other items that would make it more expensive than it would be worth in most cases.

I can't go w/o my AC/heat vent.

They also make a version that just replaced the gauge cluster for half the price.

I recently went from a 2022 Gladiator to a 2025 Gladiator and would not call the new infotainment screen "Tesla Like". Better but not that big of a change in terms of function.

If you exclude the side airbags in the roll bar now, it will basically be a whole new front dash assembly from the A Pillar to the inside firewall. What little poking around behind and under the dash I have done, there is a bit of difference in connector types in some areas and changes to the sub dash understructure.

Unless you just found a salvage donor for cheap to play around with, I think it would be time and money wiser to just get a 2024+ if that is what you are wanting.

Thanks! That's the most honest and informed answer I've heard thusfar!

It's not a digital dash, it's just a wider screen. You don't have to look very closely to see that the 2025 is a completely different dashboard assembly. Not trying to be a party pooper, but I will be very surprised if anyone ever attempts to do this after understanding what would be involved.
