Nope. No mud puddles.Yeah, I’m thinking that swaybar disconnects are about as close to this as I’m going get; which is still quite a ways off the desired mark.
I will say however, that almost looks like they’re driving on a standard Missouri road, during pothole season. You can blame our karst topography for that.
Ya another 200k + rig there! The terrain there is smooth compared to the video in the OP. I doubt there is anything Jeep other than the body on that 1st rig.
Someone needs to take a bone stock Mojave and drive it on that exact same trail, at that exact same speed….and film it….. <getting my popcorn ready
Being it's v8 swapped and on tons it would be a high dollar build, but to get your suspension to that level is no where near that. The stepchild is just bolt on long arms and probably $3k in shocks. No it's not trophy truck level performance but it would definitely handle higher speeds than most drivers are willing to run in the dirt. I've had my mojave at the 100mph limiter off road more than once on stock shocks and a 2" AEV spacer kit. Now on 3.5" springs with the added geometry correction brackets up front and the rock krawler triangulated 4 link rear it's even more planted at speed. At this point the relatively short stroke of the shocks is the limiting factor. I'd have no problem as is running the same speed Kevin is in this video, and I'm under $1500 into my suspension. Whoops at speed you pretty much just need good shocks. Now if you want to jump it several feet in the air you'll likely want a whole list of upgrades.Ya another 200k + rig there! You mean your Pentastar doesn’t sound like that? That engine sounds glorious.
No shit? Again, as I said they are on tons and v8 swapped... neither of which would help high speed bump handling though. Not to mention the extra wheelbase of the JT makes a huge difference. And as I said, mine will comfortably roll at the limiter so even the v8 swap wouldn't make it any faster (quicker for sure). ADS prices are up from the last time I looked 4 years ago. Fronts are $2300 and rears are $1900. But again, that's nowhere near a six figure build like people think they need to run desert trails at speed. A $3500 long arm kit and $4200 in shocks and your gladiator will out handle the stepchild thanks to wheelbase and lighter weight. Obviously you won't have the 6.4L acceleration. Obviously you won't have the strength of tons (more important for crawling than desert running in my experience).ADS Racing shocks are a tad more than 3k. You have no idea what speed they're running there. While you have certainly made some improvements to your Mojave's setup, it isn't in the same ballpark as the Lite Brite Jeep.
