Let me be clear:
It is not about the officer or the law. It is not about the judge and the court hearing in 3 months.
It is about being safe and not causing accidents. It is about saving lives and damage to personal property. It is about having common sense, no matter what one thinks 'his rights' are.
If the flow is going 15 over the posted speed limit and one can't conform, then get off of the road.
Take side streets and practice the 'slow on the gas' mantra with your latte and your lawyer on the phone.
If saving gas is one's top priority and most everyone else is on their way to work. Or maybe a commercial driver trying to get to his warehouse delivery in time. And the hypermiler is cruising at barely the posted limit listening to classical music ignoring the car horns and randomly flipping off the other drivers as they go by.
Who is the problem.
