On mine when I seen that antifreeze turned out to be the water pump.
Hoping that’s not case on mine. The drip on control arms are directly below the reservoir and that reservoir/hose connection looks really suspicious with it being wet and signs of dried coolant from previous evaporation. I do worry that maybe something else in the system is the issue causing too much pressure or something that’s creating the issue at the reservoir/hose connection, like a weakest link deal.

What’s your mileage? Have you done a rad flush yet? I did my first flush at about 10k kms and was shocked at all the debris floating around in there. The flush consisted of flushing 5 times, then filtered out all the fluid to find …this.

You all may look at that bucket of greenish swampy shit and wonder why?? My first engine was consuming coolant and when the dealership was given the green light to investigate which meant putting a green dye in the coolant. My insurance company replaced the engine for a new one before the investigation got off the ground.

I drove the new one 10k kms and I wanted to do a flush. When the first batch dropped out, I saw that the dealership put the old coolant into the new engine, hence why I flushed it 5 times to get the dye out

48k miles. No flush or service at all for the radiator system. So far I have been using the dealership for oil changes until the power train warranty runs out. When I ask about service intervals during oil change service, they say they are going by the book for service intervals.

Repair is done I ordered a new coolant take and unfortunately had to order the entire hose assembly to get a new bottom coolant tank connection.

Fix turned into a larger job as I could not get to a hose clamp from the engine bay. I took the drivers side wheel off and removed the fender liner. That gave me the angle and room I needed. Picture is looking up towards the bottom of the coolant tank/leaking connection, and hose clamp.

About a $90 fix. The coolant tank was $35 and I probably could have just changed the connection and kept the old tank but happy with a new tank.

Interesting. Glad you were successful looks good.
So, the hose clamp in the picture is the one you had issue with or was it a clamp further in.

I have 90° short and long needle nose pliers and a cable operated hose clamp tool, just for those clamps.
Pretty simple job by the looks of it but obviously looks can be deceiving. Good job.

Thats the clamp. I could not get my big hands and pliers on the clip from above so I had to come underneath through the wheel well.

Could we get a link from you on the cable operated hose clamp tool?

If it was the connector you wanted, why not pull the connector off and just replace the bad connector, and just stay up top and not change out the entire hose they made you buy?

Connector has a metal clip that can be undone with a small screwdriver. But the clip could only be released from the other side which I could not see.

I did not change out the entire hose, but I had to buy the entire hose to get the dang connector. That connection piece can not be ordered as a stand alone item.

I took the new connector off from the new hose and I guess I will just throw the new hose out.

Here is mine. It's like 8 years old and wore out but still works

Interesting, maybe something I pick up for the next hose/clamp repair. I only have traditional pliers and needle nose pliers. No angled pliers.
