A lot of companies do, but by the time you add the 25% import tax on trucks, they aren't cheap anymore. It would be cool if a company did this same concept with an efficient ICE powered vehicle.

Because you were interested enough to comment?Anybody else get an invitation to the slate forums from the Gladiator forum?
Wouldn't buy an electric vehicle if I was paid.
And no I don't want to watch this thread. Why is it that if I make a comment the forum automatically thinks I want to add the thread to my watch list?!
Who? And even if they added a 25% tax, show me the $25k truck? Hell you can barely find a base model car of any kind for that price anymore foreign or domestic.A lot of companies do, but by the time you add the 25% import tax on trucks, they aren't cheap anymore.
Toyota's IMV platform starts at $10,000 with a choice of gas or diesel.Who? And even if they added a 25% tax, show me the $25k truck? Hell you can barely find a base model car of any kind for that price anymore foreign or domestic.
Yeah, I paid 56,000 and I done plenty fixing on this one already and about to do even more.I don't think I am really interested in a $20,000 new truck.
Seems I heard something before... along the lines of "you get what you pay for..."
Its to keep the conversation goingBecause you were interested enough to comment?
None of those are legal in the US though. It's not the 25%. You don't think they'd sell faster than they could build them if you could walk into the Toyota dealer and by a truck for $13k?Toyota's IMV platform starts at $10,000 with a choice of gas or diesel.

China and India make a lot of cheap, compact, utility trucks.
I personally wouldn't want a trailer pushing the tow vehicle down the road? Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. I'd rather add a 2nd motor to the front axle to add towing capacity and stability.I assume it wouldn’t tow much, but couldn’t you add an electric motor to a trailer to boost capacity? Basically the trailer provides its own power (Again not talking about 10,000 lbs or long range trips).
Enjoy your gas prices!Anybody else get an invitation to the slate forums from the Gladiator forum?
