Gonna get them mounted up on stock rims on Wednesday.

I see no markings on the tire.

Nothing noted from the manufacturer.

Winter use only.

Are they directional?

Thanks folks!

WHY!

Am I so TIRED?

See what I did there?

Me so funny!

Me thinks the stock tires and rims are lighter than the new tires?

So, gas milage may take a hit, as will stopping distance, inertia Baby!

Two Men and A Boy to load them up!

I was never impressed with the stock tires in a New Yawk winter.

Even worser as they wore,

These get good reviews for wear and traction, except on wet roads.

Thanks for the guidance, once again looked over the tires, and again I see no directional markings.

Going from the stock 255-70-18 to a 275-70-18, so a little wider than stock.

They are not directional. I had 35x12.50R17's on my Ram 1500. Decent tire overall. Great wear mileage with 5-6K rotations. I got over 50K on them with tread still left when I sold it. They did well off road and ok for on road applications. Fairly quiet and stopped well on dry pavement. Balanced really well too with minimum weight. Another plus is they are true to size tire. A 35 is a 35 (un-mounted and a 37 is a 37 un-mounted) unlike many other tires. My 37 BFG's are only 36.5 un-mounted. So that is a plus too.

What I hated most about them was they sucked on pavement in slushy snow covered intersections. They slipped ALOT. Any power on the throttle and the rear end went out. I didn't even have the optional 3.92 gears and I had the 3.55's. Trying to make a left hand turn in a intersection with snowy wet heavy snow, you better make sure you have lots of space from oncoming vehicles. Plus the red letters wore down to basically a faded light pink after about 35K miles.

I thought about running them again when I just replaced my 35" Grabber ATX's as they don't make a ATX in 37's, but opted for BFG's K02 AT's due to the issues

I described above (plus I wanted OWL vs red letters)

Your tires are E rated in the 275's which so were my 35's Grabber ATX 's and I didn't feel they were overly stiff. I have noticed a bit a softer ride in the KO2's in D rating. But not enough difference to pick a D vs a E rated tire on the gladiator. I needed the E's on the heavy ram 1500 in the X3's along with the towing I did with it.

Post pics when you get them mounted up. They will look good on your white gladdy.

Kind of have a red back and white theme on it now, so when I chose the tire for its wear and reviews, then saw it had a red letter option, I jumped. A bit disappointed when received, that they were not raised letter.

Jeep Looks good. yeah, the SRL is smooth red letter. Didn't care for that as well. THought it meant solid (like raised) red letter, but nope.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but they're really not a good choice for slippery winter conditions in my experience. Any ice or slush and you're no better off than if you were running summer touring tires.
Your experience matches my experience on a Ram 1500 with these tires. Maybe they are better on a Gladiator? i hope the OP has a great time with them.

Too late now, pulled the trigger, they are mounted, and I pick them up this afternoon. The stockers were horrible, which I used for winter tires. In FWD Jeep had issues getting up my driveway. If they are better than that .................

Tuesday loaded up the winter stock rims, with the stock tires, that were always awful in winter.

Seemed like car tires to me, on a JEEP?

Awkward heavy, but got the job Don.

Hey, I'm olde, grumpy, and smell like bad Rutabagas!

Loaded up the new tires, holy carp they are heavy, got that Don too.

Wednesday morning brought them to a shop I trust,

A bit intimidated, feeling the weight of the tires, then thinking how they will be with wheels.

Will I be able to load them myself?

Pulled up, and the gentleman who mounted the tires looks kind of frail. Oh Boy!

Then a man mountain came from the back of shop and loaded all four tires into the OVERLORD like they were nuthin'!

Amazing how the stock rims, that I was unimpressed with, look when the car tires are replaced, with real rubber.

I hope they'll grab a little better in the winter than the car tires.

At the very least, this should insure there will be no snow this winter.

For defecations and chortles, I weighed the new tire wheel combo. NINETY-NINE-POINT-FIVE-POUNDS ............... each!

That should help the MPG!

Color this yob Don Mang!

They look good, hope ya like 'em. :like:

On the bright side, if they don't work out so well for your winter tire plans, I can say with confidence they do work well for trail use and non-winter driving.
