2020 Gladiator Sport 3.6 auto with 45,000 miles on it. Never had any issues before but when I started it up today both warnings came up. It hasn’t had any kind of work done to it recently and the auxiliary battery had been gone for 2 years. Main battery showing 14.3 volts
Any ideas that might help me.

You are going to have to read the codes. You may or may not get codes from an autoparts store, but I would try that first.

I would recommend everyone having a scanner capable of reading codes for this reason. It will benefit the owner to get help.

Your codes are going to be in a couple of modules that the autopart store may not read and may give you a generic version of the code.

hello are some codes proprietary to the manufacturer? meaning, one needs to pay them for the info? last weekend the dash light and a message for servicing the traction control popped up. i cleaned the four sensors but i still have the light. thoughts?

Read your codes.

With that said you've lost more than those 2 items. I bet your cruise control, ESS, and traction control don't work either.

Reading your codes will tell you which wheel.
Then I'd be willing to bet you lost a wheel speed sensor.
If so, check ALL the wiring on the sensor, odds are a critter ate your wires.

cruise and f&r lockers work. the traction control dash button will show it is on or off. i chased the wires from the sensor to the harness and all is good. ess is disconnected.

Codes will generally be the same. Do you have a lift? Some have had damaged wires underneath the sleeving. The ABS wires get pulled on a bit.

i did check that. the wires are zip tied the the brake line to prevent snagging. both have enough slack for the 3.5 year old 4.5" lift. i was in deep water this past weekend. not by choice. i'm not opposed to buying a scanner if it provides an exact diagnosis. i do like the parts store idea.

If it is indeed an abs sensor fault, it would point you in the right direction. You can focus on those wires by opening the harness and feel the wires themselves.

There are scan tools that work on most vehicles but not on all modules, mostly engine codes. They are to cheap not to have one. You can get more information with a better scan tool. The price goes up when you are looking at multiple vehicle types and multiple manufacturers. Jscan and Tazer will get you the modules that you need and serve you in other ways. AlfaOBD software with OBDlink interface is nice. You are limited with a single subscription for a small fee or more vehicles for more money.

Part stores are free scans.

I just had that same thing , service 4WD and 4Wd unavailable and cruise control also unavailable. I have an excellent dealer dropped it off Sunday night with a note and telling them I want to be on the beach Thursday, checked it Monday picked it up Tuesday. Right rear sensor failure and connector had corrosion in it so they replace the connector also.
Yup ,I’m on the beach!….Jack

Your best bet would be to get a code scanner. I use jscan on our vehicles. It could be a bad connection or lose connection. But I would start with the scanner.

Also, the readings that you see on the dash is not the battery voltage, it's your alternator output voltage. Sometimes (not all the time), when your alternator has a high output voltage, that means it's working trying to charge your battery. That might mean you have a bad battery or the battery is depleted and your alternator is trying to charge it back up. Which could be why some things aren't working.

Not saying that your battery is your issue, it's just something that you could check.
