So I purchased an oil and tire rotation service package when I bought my Gladiator. Took it in yesterday for the described service and having been done wrong with another vehicle service in the past I am suspicious so I purposely set my tire pressure at different psi and made a notation on a slip of paper and also noted the dust on wheels. When service was completed and I signed the service receipt the person said they performed the oil change and tire rotation. Said that I needed an alignment? I checked the tires and psi and confirmed that the tires were not rotated and I spoke with the service rep. He returned and said the tech didn't rotate the tires and was sorry and he would get it done and offered to get me a free set of wipers and free tire yif I would be kind with the survey that would be coming. What would you guys do?

I'd do the survey for sure! Kind? Not so much. I may have to report the bribery tactic.

In Georgia it's the consumer protection division.

Just completed the survey, I was honest and kind. I let the dealership know that I now have a greater mistrust in the service that I pay for. And oh yeah they said my brake fluid needs changed at 20.000 miles WTF

In Tennessee it's the Attorney General consumer affairs office. They have online reporting. Next time take pictures of your notes, before and after. Also, don't expect to be welcomed at that dealership.

I hope they takecare of you on your next visit. BTW, did they actual change you oil?

Wow, pretty shady with the bribe. Makes you wonder about the integrity of their reviews.

How old is your Gladiator? Maybe the brake fluid is a few years old??

Yeah it's a shame I really trusted them and I don't want to drive to the next dealership which is also owned by the same persons. Next time I will definitely come up with a way to confirm the service. And no I'm not sure of the oil change because I didn't witness it.

No it not them. Best of luck with your service dealer. I guess we all need to check on our service and make sure it's getting done as it's supposed to. I also hate the pressure of air filter, wipers, alignment etc.. I can turn them down but have witnessed older persons and unaccompanied females taken advantage of.

I'd report this shady-ass dealership to the Better Business Bureau because if they did it to you, I am sure they are taking advantage of many other people out there.

I probably should but I hate to make people's life harder than it has to be. I'm disappointed and lost my trust. But I definitely have my eyes wide open now.

I saw this vid on YouTube the other night and it made me sick to my stomach. This is my industry and I see it (and others) changing in the way that Nate describes.

Of course I know not everyone is BAD because I'm not playing this game.

I usually always mark things as I have caught more than once a dealership not doing what they are supposed to do. Mostly at Toyota Dealerships as that is what we have owned the most of. Sad you can’t even trust someone to just do a simple oil and filter change and tire rotation.

Stingray, your thread brought up my most recent visit too. Don't want to derail your thread with my experience, but I really wonder if they did the large amount of warranty work they charged Jeep for. Can't really tell, and I would think asking would not be useful.

Just wish I could trust them like I have trusted other brands where I have had more positive experiences. [I have probably 5-6 options for Jeep service in the area, but how do you choose?]

Yeah my original mistrust came from a Toyota dealership. Didn't find out till 75,000 miles after expiration that they had not once changed the oil filter on our FJ Cruiser. I changed the oil and you have to drop the shid plate to access the filter and it had never been removed. Pissed off to say the least.

WOW! Lied about service, bribed you to STFU on a survey?.. And were polite about it? This is why we all have to continue with tolerating this S**T is because we do... Survey should have read:
0 Stars, Lied about service, bribed me to keep my mouth shut instead of taking my rig back and doing the work immediately, and just for lying should have given me the entire service for free for wasting your time not doing the work and holding your vehicle, to get the dealer to understand what their staff are doing and hold them then to the most BASIC standards!

These kind of stories are getting entirely too common. Call that out when it happens because every one of us that doesn't, someone else will have to endure it later.
