Katz replace the original upholstery. Kustom is a cover that slips over the orignal.

1966 Oldsmobile Toronado. 425 cu.in. 325 HP, front wheel drive, gorgeous car. The speedometer is the coolest...it's a drum that rolls showing speed. Note, I had a 1972 with the 455 in it. Dash was way different but, damnit that car was fast!!!

1966 Oldsmobile Toronado. 425 cu.in. 325 HP, front wheel drive, gorgeous car. The speedometer is the coolest...it's a drum that rolls showing speed. Note, I had a 1972 with the 455 in it. Dash was way different but, damnit that car was fast!!!

I had a 70 Toronado, the last year of the Rocket 455/4 brl dual exhaust premium gas, rated at 375 hp, 500 lbs ft tq. That would light up the front tires at will, easily hit 125 mph and the second best 2 WD car I’ve ever driven in the snow, absolutely the best auto to take on a skiing trip with two couples and luggage for a weekend, during any type of snow storm, with the proper tires mounted in a matched set all around in the biggest size that will fit.

For style alone (no airbag, but being impaled on that steering wheel would be a stylish way to die)

But one of the best interiors in terms of controls and feel was my old Volvo. Big chunky switches and knobs that throw with a satisfying mechanical "Ka-Chunk!" And an analog clock.

And then there's the French...
