Took my truck in to get oil and rotation today and the small dealer I go to had a 392 in the showroom. Apparently, they traded for it for someone and that someone couldn’t get financing. So there it sits. For shits and giggles I had them run numbers on it with a trade in for my Mojave. They offered me 30K (2021 w/51000 miles). They took 3k off the price. Out the door I would owe 75ishK. My credit is outstanding and the best rate I could get was like 5%. So 72 months of payments at ~1300 per month. Insanity. If I didn’t have two kids in college… 😂. I love the 392 and this was the color I would get

PS. The scratch stickers on it are removable. Apparently using it for the Jurassic Park Movie advertisement.

Dude! If I could get one for 83 I would have it in my garage. I was trying to get them to move to 85 and they laughed at me. The gas mileage said 16/13 and it had an efficiency rating of 1 out of 10. 😂. The projection was you would spend 16K in fuel a year. Definitely not a commuting vehicle.

"Final Edition"

didn't 2024 "Final Edition" owners try to form a class action against Stellantis when the 2025 Final Editions were announced. And didn't Jeep recently announce the 392 isn't going anywhere for the foreseeable future?

Just hold tight. You can get a 2026 "Final Edition" soon enough. And if you don't have the cash then, you can wait for the 2027 "Final Edition"

It’s funny that you posted this. The sales guy was a really cool dude and didn’t push anything. And I told the guy flat out this is not a final edition. He looked at me and said exactly wait till next year. I will buy every Jeep from that guy from now on.

Take your truck to AMW, drop in 40K and have a 6.4 505 hp beast no MDS, compared to 470 hp with crappy MDS sound. saves you more money in the long run and have a pickup truck and not a suv

Depends on how long you plan to keep it. I have to imagine a 392 is going to have more resale than an engine swapped vehicle

I've been wanting a V8 in my Gladiator so bad that I started to look at used 392 Wranglers. Ended up test driving one that had about 30k miles on it. I didn't like it. I was so disappointed. Like meeting your hero in real life and finding out they are a 5'3" asshole.

Plus the interior had a bit of PO odor of some kind as well.

Seems a bit odd to me that a Rubicon would come with a 2.72:1 low range.

Just noticed the dealership listed on the window sticker. Good ol' Lancaster... used to live there years ago. :)

I don't follow the 392 enough to know for sure; I think the Full Time transfer case is only available in 2.72:1
Every 392 is a Rubicon
Every 392 has Full Time transfer case
I now wonder what a 4.1:1 would feel like with that much horsepower?

i would keep the truck if I swap the engine, why sell it.
Also, depends on timeframe as well, if it wont be until 2027. They need to retool the chassis, new engine mounts, etc, not sure how long that takes. Also, imagine dealer markups for the 1st 392 gladiators rolling off the line, 10K over MSRP? i rather get the swap in now and enjoy it today rather than wait

That’s exactly what I was going to suggest…better option that the 392 IMHO…
