I woke up with a 392 bug. I have a nice 22 JTR modded but I like the idea of the JL 392. I can aford one. I know it's a bit like apples and oranges. Just wondering if anyone here has done the + and - on them and can help me out. Looks like the MPG is the same or even better on the 392. Freeway wind noise?? I had a 14 JK modded so I know Wranglers. I got no kids or wife and my GF wants the 392 LOL. Just wondering about the future in Calif with a gas eater. At 70+ I am old school.

The only downside is the wet clutch for the front driveshaft and AWD. What color are you getting?

A simple white build. I'll add the winch. The 392 package pretty much comes with everything. I can get a order at MSRP and wait 4-6 months. One on the lot is $5K over or maybe MSRP.
The AWD TC is an issue but there is a program to make it 2 WD perhaps. Lots of things to check out.

Life is too short. If you have the financial means to buy it, go for it!! Get what you want and enjoy it!

Do it. I have a 21 JTRD and would do the same.

On the 392 forum seems that the TC can be a problem with the clutches in them.

Nothing better than a jeep with a v8, I’ve already been looking at 5.7 swap companies getting ready for the day I pay off mine.

I really think the 5.7 in the JT would be sweet. In Calif doing a swap is not easy.
