Whatever brings you joy brother. Mine are called, TJ, LJ, or Gladiator in conversation. Or "green one", "black one", or "blue one". 😆
Well in conversation with strangers they certainly just take on colors. The red truck, brown truck, black jeep.

It's an in-house thing or with people familiar.

I like that. My dad's '95 F-350 SuperCrew is called Clifford. A name given to him by a third party, and it stuck. It's amongst ourselves or with people in the know, same as you. It's never introduced or brought up to strangers by that name and it's not printed in 8" tall vinyl letters on the fenders.

I said the badge thing with a bit of apprehension, because I kinda find them cool and I have a few from the opportunities local to me on the lid of my toolbox. But then there's people like my in-laws that are literally running out of fender space for them, and have them sent to my house (they're full time RV'ers), and then will ask us fairly often if any came in the mail on a given day.

Weird shrieking adults with "DUCK ME" written on the glass of their JK at Smokey Mt. Jeep Invasion? Be gone!
Agreed, on the badges. I have logged like 13 total personally not including the limited Jurassic Park one.

But I only display 10 of the 13. Other 3 I hang from my rear view. Logged them/checked in at the beginning with intentions of completing them (likely not knowing what I was getting into LOL) and in those few instances couldn't fully complete them due to various reasons (mainly knowing my limitations on my moderately built Overland). Unlike some... figured theres no "honor" in a displaying a badge of honor if I didn't fully do it. But since I was on trail and checked in, I just hang those 3.

In my defense, the 3 I hang (trail 2x @ Redbird, trail 3x @ Redbird, Trail 16 @ Windrock), arguably should have never been badge trails considering theyre "nearly" impossible even for way better built Jeeps. In hindsight, 2 of those 3 (2x and 16) ironically have since been removed from the program for reason I just mentioned. I will say the program has cleaned a lot of that up lately, with the removal of some, and additions of others. Gutbuster another nearly impassable one was recent removed. The initial idea behinf the program was for trails to be able to be complete in a stock Rubicon which is clearly not the case over the years.

Well said @Coltron_Actual, same here. Clifford is an awesome name, I assume it's a huge red truck that likes to get into mischief....I named mine Stanley, borrowed a little bit from the honey badger and a lot more from family memories, tasteful name tag that closely matches the Rubicon badging, but I kept the Rubicon on the hood, those stickers ain't cheap

Tasteful goes a long way indeed.

It used to like mischief but it's old and babied now lol. It is red and indeed huge -- crew cab with 8 ft bed. Special ordered in 1995, and one-owner ever since. 460 with a five speed. Dad didn't want the powerstroke because it was costly and he didn't think he'd own it for very long before upgrading. Nope.

Very nice, Clifford is a beast indeed. The color is a few shades of but this is what I'm calling tasteful

I agree with that 💯. I however am unfortunately a curmudgeon at times and a court jester at other times....
My biggest downfall is I tend to be a very logical person most of the time except for the times I'm not logical which tends to be most of the time .
Your logic is most impressive!

🤣 I will say though some of my vehicles develop nicknames for various reasons and it's the easiest way to refer to said vehicle when you've got 5 or 6 of them. My red reg cab SRT10 is called "The Red Dragon" because one of my best friends, now deceased, called it that when he first saw it. But usually just referred to as "The Ram." My Gladiator is called "The Marmot" or "Whistle Pig" because on a wheeling trip in Colorado my wife pointed out it was the same color and also a fatass that managed to scramble over rocks in the same way. And turbo whistle. But we can't say "the truck" because I have two, and we can't say "the Jeep" because we have two... So, that specificity encouraged cute names to stick.

And I do, in fact, have Whistle Pig on my license plate. Come at me!

I grew up chasing whistlepigs in the fields with a small club whilst my dad used to yoke of oxen to cut the hay so as to get rid of them wiley hole makers. 🕳 🦫🧌

Likely a new Jeeper.
Actually, this is number six. I’m just not particularly concerned about what others choose to place on their dashboards, unlike some who feel more strongly about it.

LMAO. Im dead!.

And since were on the subject (oh so accurate!). The names, 90% of the time are so unoriginal anyways. Like how many damn "Maximus or Spartacus" jeeps are out there? Nobody has ever thought of that.
Don’t know of any other Ruh-Roh named gladiators or wranglers which is a good thing because I want to keep it, lol

That's hilarious! I wanted to add a laughing reaction. How do you post a laughing emote because all I see is a thumps up icon?
Long press it .or top right of the response section tap or click on the smiley emoji and a whole menu comes up like this :turkey: :jk:
