I thought it was interesting in this video not really talking about the Hemi or 392 Gladiator but we’re talking about the cost of the 392 in the wrangler that I found interesting.

I think that point they made in the video on the Durango 392 v8 pricing comparison , sort of drives home what I always thought.
Their no way that 392 v8 should cost the premium they have had on it in Wrangler.
That motor can’t possibly cost as much to build as some of these hybrid option, v6, v8 I4, doesn’t matter, adding all that hybrid electrical architecture and hardware etc etc, has to cost more to produce then a much less complex normal aspirated v8 like the 392, and since the carbon credits, and epa penalty BS is supposed to be ending or relaxed, why wouldn’t the simpler N.A. v8 be cheaper then all the complex turbo and hybrid options, when competing in a level playing field.

I suspect you are way behind on all of the discussions including some of the reasoning for the increased prices.............
Including - those fines can be reinstated at the drop of a hat.. And it likely WILL happen. For a company to rely on the whims of a single person when that person will be gone, or the entities that make the rules will quickly change, is just plain dumb. These companies have to plan years into the future. That can't spin around on a dime. They have to be planning, setting up contracts with suppliers and so on. And there's the bit about the economies of numbers - the numbers just won't be there to risk betting on what's going to happen in a year or two. (watching recent special elections - hmmmm........ will these rules stay in place very long?)

But "the internet" loves to over-simplify things - ignoring the planning and contracting with suppliers, demand vs. supply, and more.

As far as production - everything is already set up for the V6 and 4xe - so it's not a big deal. Lines are there, workers already working, contracts out for the supplies - those are done deals. But making changes to the JT? That's a bit more complex - things are not in place for that.

Lately the YT influencer in question has been putting out "I told you so" videos. It's nauseating in contrast Dirt Road Cred videos I like.

Dirt Road Cred seems to be a genuine person attempting to report on a topic he cares about.

These "insiders", from states away, are just chasing clout and lying and swindling to do it. It's a tale as old as time, tell people what they want to hear, and they'll follow you to the ends of the earth and die for you.,

20 years of rumors and scuttle butts in the USCG taught me; believe none of what you hear, half of what you read, and remain skeptical of what you see....
I'll believe it when its in showrooms

Yea, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
I do have some hope, that this will happen. They managed to get the Hemi back into the Ram pretty quickly. They did bring the 26 models out a little early to get them on the lot quick as possible. It would not surprise me to see a V8 Gladiator and I really hope it is the 392 not the 5.7 especial not the mild hybrid 5.7. I would still consider buying one earthier way. But I am pretty much certain that I would buy a 392 Gladiator if or when they ever make one.

Honestly seeing all the rumors and reporting on it right or wrong, accurate or BS.
That is a big part of why I joined this forum, to try and cut through some of the typical social media BS and get to the real skinny as to what is going on with the potential introduction of the V8 Gladiator.

RAM, Jeep, Dodge, I am pretty sure they will all be seeing more V8s getting re-introduced into their products. The Company is under new leadership, our country is under new leadership all the above is paving the way back to offering the products many of us really want, not the crap they wanted us to have. LOL

I am not saying I am naive to the fact that given a few elections taking a different turn, would not take us back the other way, but I sure hope they can hold onto to this current path including the revival of the V8. Least long enough for the manufactures to get some fun exciting products back into the marketplace, before it gets swung back the other way.

I get the feeling no matter what, that Chrysler Corp was going back to their roots with the Hemi V8s, fines or carbon penalties be damned, the path they took under their prior leadership that tried to kill the V8, was leading them into bankruptcy, and it seems they figured that out and I can't see them going back down that path, not willingly anyway.

Bottom line, I think there is plenty of time for them to make a V8 gladiator a reality.
If they can do it before all the regulations get swung back the other way, the cheaper it could be.

Again with the nonsense.

Claim, Stellantis is opening everything!

Comments, OMG I've been laid off forever.

Reality, they're closing the thing for three weeks.

Y'all should start a thread specifically for trashing/contradicting/disproving YT channels. With, so much time on Y'alls hands. Heck, maybe even start a YT channel to contradict theirs. Or maybe this thread should get retitled by the OP.

That's not really hard to do. It's almost the qanon of the Jeep world at times. It's all about clicks and followers.
I really don't know why so many hang on every word he says or can't wait for his next exclusive video.

He and Scotty...... shows how the public has been dumbed down by social mediocre.
