I thought it was interesting in this video not really talking about the Hemi or 392 Gladiator but we’re talking about the cost of the 392 in the wrangler that I found interesting.
I think that point they made in the video on the Durango 392 v8 pricing comparison , sort of drives home what I always thought.
Their no way that 392 v8 should cost the premium they have had on it in Wrangler.
That motor can’t possibly cost as much to build as some of these hybrid option, v6, v8 I4, doesn’t matter, adding all that hybrid electrical architecture and hardware etc etc, has to cost more to produce then a much less complex normal aspirated v8 like the 392, and since the carbon credits, and epa penalty BS is supposed to be ending or relaxed, why wouldn’t the simpler N.A. v8 be cheaper then all the complex turbo and hybrid options, when competing in a level playing field.
