This is a LOD Black OPs.

Very happy with it, very high quality, didn't die from adding weight to my secret squirrel super special Mojave.

I like this idea, did you buy the springs from Mopar or someone's take offs? Post number for the springs?
Thanks
I purchased the springs from Benny, a sponsor on this forum, at AllMoparParts. Benny has been a reliable source of correct part numbers and great prices for forum members for years. He will have the parts numbers, and they are not the same part number for all four springs (I did the front and rear since I was running a heavy aluminum tonneau cover and recovery gear in the rear).

LROWE - Can you tell me more about the need to upgrade front & rear springs if adding steel front & rear bumpers to my '23 Mojave? TY

I have a '23 Mojave, and opted for a Rock Hard Full width aluminum bumper with lowered winch plate. (RH-90245)

No appreciable difference in ride quality.

My justification was saving some weight with the aluminum bumper, and then adding some back in with a Badlands 12k winch. Watch the bolt length with the winch mount plate as you will need to order longer winch mount bolts.

I wanted the full length more so protect from other vehicles.

If anyone questions the durability, we had a Dodge Ram zoom up and cut into our lane on the freeway striking the front passenger corner of the glady. It ripped off the plastic wheel fender, but the bumper took the hit once from the initial impact, and then a second time when the truck went perpendicular in front of us and we hit it again pushing it back into their original lane. The bumper was only slightly bent. We were able to finish driving home this way going from TN to TX after a weekend off-roading windrock. Our body shop was impressed with the bumper build and did damage it out on the other person's insurance, but we probably could have left it as it. What is important is everyone was okay.

There's no need, the heavy steel bumper and heavy winch in my above photo has been on my Mojave for 45,000 miles now.

Following because I want full length, but light as possible, and less protruding than factory.
And I'm a cheapskate on top of it.
I can empathize.

In searching tangential to some of the above suggestions I found this cheapy.
76 lbs

Did you "buy now" or are you waiting for everyone to berate your option? ;)

I'm looking for an inexpensive replacement for the OEM steel bumper. The mid section could not withstand a ~130# impact from a deer that chose to escape this world and unalive itself. So my left side is bent back about 3" at the end, with a nice buckle on the top between my winch and the end of the bumper.

My cheap Barricade bumper after one pull...

Tried a Fishbone, showed up built the same way nearly, sent it back, got the LOD.

I'm much more of a FAFO guy than a buy the most expensive thing because it must be best guy, but I found out here..

Zeph, the Mojave's Fox Shocks have a range of motion that is optimized for the shock, spring, and stock suspension geometry. This is a pretty short range of motion, so when you add extra weight by replacing the plastic bumper(s) with OEM Mopar bumper(s) on the front or rear ends of the Mojave, you lose some of that range since the /spring and shock are already preloaded by the extra weight, and you are on the bumpstops much more quickly as a result. The Mojave X comes from the factory with the metal bumper and springs that are spec'd for the extra weight. I ran my '21 Mojave for about two years without changing the springs and I was constantly on the bumpstops on some of the AZ USFS roads I was on. The Mojave X springs have noticeably reduced that bumpstop activity. Do you need to change springs to the Mojave X springs? No, you can use any other spring manufacturer that is spec'd for the weight, lift and ride you are looking for.

I have a Nighthawk, so I can get berated on here with no waiting!

Actually, I'm currently moving, so any big purchases are on hold. Then my next excuse will be not wanting to potentially mess up the warranty. Not sure what my excuse after that will be.
