I like them. I was looking for more mud slinging coverage not rock crawling. Better than mud flaps hanging down for the sticks and branches I usually get into.

The install went OK. Mud tested but not in or on rocks yet.

I like the look of mine a lot. Haven't hit anything with them yet, so I can't say how well they hold up

I installed them on the wife's mojave and she likes them. They are mounted to the frame and work well as a step and probably medium strength for rock smashing. I noticed the passenger side is closer to the body. I noticed the same with the LOD rock sliders on my sport. Easy install and good price relative to desired use.

Firehawkcpo, would you say they are easy enough to use as a step, or are they too narrow to get a good footing? I wanted these originally but they were discontinued so I ordered their drop steps. Overall I'm happy, but I'd rather not get hung up. Someone just posted them on FB near me for a steal at $150 so seriously thinking about making the swap. This is what I have currently:

My wife has those drop step ones on her Wrangler. I have the Bestop sidesteps on my Gladiator. Not the ones your looking at, but similar size and height. My wife's steps work better as actual steps, the overall height from the door works better. Mine are almost too high. It's like you climb up on them, then climb down into the Jeep. Here's what I have for reference.

Mine do have better ground clearance.

The step is a good size. Its my wife's rig and she likes them.
Firehawkcpo thank you for replying!

RudeJeepin thanks for the comments. Yeah right now with no lift and stock tires I'm climbing up to step down 😂. Lift, arms, wheels, and tires being delivered next week! We shall see how that goes 😁.

I prefer the Rock Hard attachments to the body an body mounting bolts. The frame's strength comes from its box shape not the material thickness, so I feel that mounting the rock sliders to the frame could distort the frame if they are really used on rocks.

I have them, I like the smooth look to them, they kind of work as a step, but as others have said, you will step up on them and then have to step down into the Jeep. Our Glad is a bit high for my wife (2.5 inches lift or so) so I ordered the MORE spring loaded step for her side. I will make a post on mounting it, had to modify it some to work and added an extension to bring it out a bit. I was able to keep the "pull out 2 pins and remove the step for rock crawling" feature. So far so good.
