Can you mount the camera that is intended for the front bumper under the vehicle in the back facing forward? How long is the front bumper camera wire, can you get an extension or splice into it?

I have the OEM Front Trail Camera on my JT and would like to mount the Wolfbox front bumper camera under the JT in the back facing forward, so I can keep an eye on my rear differential, driveshaft, long arm mounts and any other potential hang up points.

The wire is plenty long to do that.

I keep pushing them on how and why it wouldn't fit. They came back and said they were wrong it will fit and is compatible. So........... I'm taking a chance.

It does impede the sun visors a little. I purchased the optional mount that allowed the Wolfcam to be mounted to the stock location inside the ACC box. Unfortunately, the ACC box blocked a large portion of the front camera, so I created an offset plate that mounts between the Wolfcam and the mount. It moves the entire Wolfcam about an inch to the left, so it no longer interferes with the passenger side visor and lessens the area blocked by the ACC box.

I wonder how their products would work to add front and rear cameras to my little SX4.
With the louvers and the spoiler, you don't see the rear end at all and, well, getting old, would be nice modernize it a bit.
I've seen some that mount where a rear plate screw might go. But I don't want to run wires through the thing either - it's a nightmare. .

I've got the front and rear cameras mounted outside the vehicle and use the rear camera as my rearview mirror.

I installed the cheaper version to help seeing past the Smartcap. Overall really happy with it. It does hit the visor when flipping, but just turn the mirror to the side and back. Mounted the camera on the rhino rack platform. Needed to buy the longer camera cable. Didnt hook up the reverse lines wire since there is a regular back up camera. Nice to see those little cars hidden behind me now!
