Where can I find the option for a 4.0L?
I can only imagine how under powered it would be in a 5k lb gladiator. It under performed the 3.8l in JK test mules and the JK is way lighter than a JT or JL.

Why a 4 banger? No thanks.
We own one of each. Besides being noisier at idle the 2.0 in my wife’s JLU is hands down superior to my 3.6 in every way. It handles 35s better despite a gearing disadvantage (3.45 vs 4.10) while still getting better mileage. It’s faster off the line. She can actually use 8th gear. Had it been an option I’d have chosen it over the v6

JLU weighs several hundred lbs less.

Great for under 4,000 pounds, and great low end....but for 5,000 pounds, not so much.

The shipping weight is listed on the factory invoice. For my 2024 JL Rubicon 4 door hardtop w/ 2.0L it's 4,690 pounds. and my 2025 JL Mojave is 5,105 pounds.

LOL - I wonder if Jeep found out that the bundling of the sunrider with the tonneau cover was bad luck for them - when I build a 2026 JT and choose the roll-up tonneau cover it no longer FORCES you to also get a sunrider or the trail ready package.

Has to be a coincidence.

Or their prior order system was truly screwed and it was never to be a bundled thing to begin with.
Lots of changes out there.

The reason Jeep's vehicle configurator is still not working correctly is the web page designer denied their warranty claim.

I believe I saw that it would have 4:56’s which would be perfect.
Oh that would be awesome! So the JT would essentially be getting the XR package. I can attest to it in my current ride. It’s a sweet combo with the 4 banger.
