Me too. I love to spec out work trucks.I think the conversation on a 6.4L vs a 5.7L is a bit different than the conversation on a limited run, sold to a limited market, highly customized Wrangler that nobody asked for. I see your point on the displacement debate, but I don't know who asked for this Wrangler. Same people that asked for the hi-po Ram that Fox is offering I reckon. Though these third party companies connected to the OEM's can build basically whatever they want without the same hang-ups as the OEM's.
I guess it doesn't matter much to me either way - if they sold a Gladiator with a Hemi, it's unlikely I'd buy it at any cost, unless it dipped into the $40K's, and well that is never happening.
You can take the kid out of the trailer home, but you can't take the trailer home out of the kid - I still get giddy spec'ing cloth seat trucks and adding chrome bumpers to the work truck package![]()
E4 Mafia rules. There will be plenty of E3's financing these at 25%. Take a walk through any barracks parking lot. The first Hellcat Challenger I ever saw was owned by an E4.
They just want to screw the Gladiator guys that all nothing else . AMW can do it so why can't Stellantis ?Me too. I love to spec out work trucks.
Like I said before, they can put a v8 in a Wrangler but ignore their truck. When they put a v8 in the Wrangler it becomes a rare expensive vehicle to get the v8. I would pay a few grand more to get a V8 in the Gladiator. Mine feels a bit underpowered. It has plenty of HP but lacks the torque a V8 can deliver.
Exactly right. Can't tell you how many Marines I brought in for a talk and teach over this issue in my 30+ years of active service. There will be plenty of E3's financing these at 25%. Take a walk through any barracks parking lot. The first Hellcat Challenger I ever saw was owned by an E4.
Because AMW doesn't need to worry about cooling, tow ratings, safety tests, and so on. Jeep does. They just want to screw the Gladiator guys that all nothing else . AMW can do it so why can't Stellantis ?

"The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Commando 392 adds $69,995 to the cost of a Wrangler 392, which pushes the opening cost well past $100,000."

Well obviously AMW figured the cooling problem out.Because AMW doesn't need to worry about cooling, tow ratings, safety tests, and so on. Jeep does.
It's why aftermarket builders exist in the first place lol. To do what the factory can't.
They did? I doubt it, they just don't need to measure it. I bet it does have cooling concerns that effectively reduce the tow rating. They don't do the testing to find out like Jeep would do.Well obviously AMW figured the cooling problem out.
So hip hop hooray for the little guy.
