Not to hi-jack another thread, but an OP is looking to get stiffer springs for his Max Tow and was asking about the Rubicon. I had this "bright" idea in my mind that the Max Tow already has stiffer springs and then I thought a Max Tow with the steel winch bumper group would offer even stiffer springs to take into consideration the added weight of the bumper and winch.
I checked the build thing on the Jeep website and then noticed that there is no option for the steel bumper group on the Sport (Max Tow) and for that matter, most JT's don't even offer that option except the Rubicon and Mojave (the X's have it standard). Does that seem strange to anyone other than me? And why not offer it?
The only thing I can think of is the lack of supply for that bumper since when I was purchasing my '24 JTR and found several that I liked but didn't have the bumper group, I checked with several dealers to add it on after the fact and virtually all said they didn't have any in stock and were not sure when they would be available. I even asked one parts guy what would happen if I had the steel bumper and was involved in an accident and the bumper had to be replaced. He simply said, "I don't know, we haven't come up with that issue yet." So I had to look around a lot more and finally found one that I liked with the steel bumper group.
So there must be a problem for Stellantis to source them or something.
