Without the armor, they’ll handle basic things. With it, they’ll do almost anything. Will you scratch them? Sure. On the rubicon I added a couple cosmetic dents that don’t affect function. Occasionally I’ll ride a rock like a skate board and need to replace a rivet or two. No biggie. They’re amazing.
How much payload will the armor subtract from an already pitiful, abysmal, payload?

That is definitely a concern. I contacted RSE and was told about 105lbs.
The stock Jeep sliders aren't exactly light, either.

It's a big concern for a Mojave X that starts out with only 850 pounds to begin with.
But if you don't haul heavy stuff, you'd mostly lose mpg

Oh well. Yep. They’re about 100. I don’t care. I’m protecting those expensive steps.

Power steps? We don't need no stinking power steps! :)
I was allowed to lift the jeep if I put steps on. Kids were 4 and 5. I need. :)

The armor weighs 105 pounds? How heavy are the steps?
Pretty heavy. Full of 3/16” steel smiles.

Gold is heavy, but pretty nice to have around.

You'll develop arthritis so bad that the doctors say "nothing to do but keep taking pain killers and don't use that joint", or get to be 68-70 where you simply can't get your legs to bend enough to get up into even an unlifted, stock, Jeep.
You'll get there someday.

I was told 75/side That makes sense since I was able to lift them onto blocks to install them.

I’d be shocked if the steps are only 75 each, but it’s been a while. But even if they’re 100, that’s not much extra after removing the rubicon rails.
