New hoods showing up on Rubicons

Looks like a no cost hood option is being added to Rubicon's lately. It shows up on the window sticker as "Steel Power Dome Hood Package / Power Dome Dual–Vented Hood"

I thought all Rubi came with the "vented" power dome? My hood looks like the one in the photo.

According to Dirt Road Cred, there was possibly a supply chain issue since an aluminum factory burned in NY. It also mentioned they may be trying to use up excess EU hoods.

Other than that, I got nothing.

I'd rather have the plain steel one than the "vented" aluminum one that corrodes and bubbles the paint. When I end up taking mine in for the corrosion that is starting on it, I plan on asking about changing it out.

I love my Vented hood on My Rubicon I opened those Vents fully and it dropped my temp while moving

When my hood gets replaced, I’ll be using a carbon fiber rubicon replica hood. Same design. Mine has started bubbling in the edges. But since it was slightly dented by a deer a long time ago, paint warranty isn’t going to help me I don’t think.

Do you have any pictures you could post of your hood with the modified vents? I have a ‘22 Rubicon diesel and might want to do the same thing. Thanks

The OP’s posted hood does not have that dip from what I can see?
