So this is my first Jeep Gladiator/Wrangler, and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for door off mirrors that work well when towing. This summer I intend to pull my camper with doors and top off but was wondering if there are any mirrors that would stick out far enough to keep an eye on my trailer? Thanks in advance for any help!!

Good question. Previously, I just used Coyote mirrors towing a boat. https://langeoriginals.com/products...K_hMTifP07aQZJGz_GSAALQOslfedLssw9cPb58hnP1n_

This year I will be using mirrors from Bulletpoint.

These from Amazon are what I ended up with. Sometimes the Chinese stuff is garbage, sometimes it's not. These fall into the latter category. They rotate to give a wider view when needed, and I have never had an issue with them towing our small trailers.

I have tried many brands that are compatible with no doors and never found something that I could see the road good enough and ended up buy tube doors that I could mount at replicate of the original mirrors and that has been my go to set now, I sold all the other mirrors or threw them in the trash 🗑

I have these for doors off. Haven't used towing but they are bigger than stock and give a really nice view i think they'd work well for towing. I tow a camper as well but never done with no doors. I use the rampage tow mirrors for jk wrangler with adapters for towing

That was the last set I bought and still have and the do work with a good view and I do use them occasionally when I don't have doors on but they seem to move around to much for me

I used the brackets from Die-Tech Off-road on my Wrangler/JK, they are rock solid and a good option. I bought mirrors off of Amazon so it made swapping super easy.

I chose to get some tube doors for my Gladiator(s).

I will say I got some pretty assertive people telling me how irresponsible i was towing my boat with doors off with my Wrangler. I think I enjoyed pissing those people off most of all.

They may think that if there was an incident that the jeep is not strong enough to take but those flimsy doors have nothing to do with strength. I had to uhaul dealer tell me I could pull there trailer with my doors off so I went home and put them on and came back for the trailer and you can guess the rest.

@Pat Witt - yep U-Haul and their actuaries, same bit if you have a soft top or no top. Wranglers get automatically triggers, Gladiators only if you come in without.

So weird. I would never tow anything large or heavy with my doors off.

Edit: As a former CDL license holder, I take towing seriously and safety is my #1 priority. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of close calls, but so far no accidents. I almost had a major accident in VA two years ago in a situation that was absolute worst case scenario and in no way my fault. My JT performed admirably with a 4500 lb trailer headed downhill in the VA mtns on wet roads and also approaching a corner. An 18 wheeler changed lanes and ran me off the road. I could have easily rolled many times and I like my doors for protection in events like that.

On my naked Wrangler TJ
I used Harley Sportster mirrors
mounted in the door frame hinges.
Not sure they work for a JT.
Provides a bit longer stem.
Can't beat the price.
