Splined sockets are thin wall and the nuts are thinner so you can use aftermarket wheels with less back spacing and smaller pockets. I actually love the splined nuts, easy to get on and off and stay looking good longer, just need to make sure you have the keyHas anyone had a splined socket snap? What is the advantage of splined sockets? I prefer the old acorn style.
Gorilla lug nut keys? I've hammered the shit out of the same one for years and no issuesGot 4 broken spline sockets sitting on the work bench now. The spline sockets for lug nuts are normally a thin wall socket and splits down the side. Using them with an impact wrench is not a good idea.
