Uconnect traffic not working

Started not working again.
Network status is connected
Token availability is requested
No traffic overlay
Weather spins for a while and then says "navapp is unable to communicate with the internal weather service at this time"
Not a fan of the tomtom navigation at all!!

Ok. Must have been a server issue with tomtom last night as after driving for a while this morning it has all come back.
Token is "valid" now, not stuck in requested.
The software for the nav is just slow.
You get into my wife's Blazer EV and the nav and the traffic is on immediately, no driving for a few minutes before it appears.
Her vehicle uses Google to run navigation as opposed to tomtom.

Yep, shows connected to network and token requested. Seriously only works about half the time. My wife's GM product features work as soon as you start it up. Get it together Jeep.

You're getting better performance than I am. <Weather> actually works about once a week in my 2024 Gladiator Rubicon. The rest of the time, I get the "unable to communicate with internal weather service" message. It's been that way for several months now. Once upon a time, it was working. Apparently, TomTom's software release folks have never heard of "regression testing"... @JeepCares, are you listening?

We have three Uconnect 5 vehicles, including a Jeep. I was emailing with support for another one of our cars about this issue and they said TomTom believes it fixed the issue. It took another day, but now that car is again seeing traffic and weather info. Hopefully, it's fixed for everyone.
You having issues currently on any of your vehicles? My traffic, weather, etc went away again a few days ago...

It's stopped working in our Jeep and a Maserati. Both have Uconnect 5. I think it started doing the token "Requested" thing around the end of last week. It worked briefly Monday AM, but by the time I was driving home from work it stopped working again. It's still out for me.

Is Uconnect the worst onboard vehicle software there is? Seems so. Is it me? Maybe. I just plug my phone in and let it do Android Auto.

Android auto works fine for me. Always use Google maps to navigate and Ive never understood people who pay subscriptions to navigate.

Yeah same.

I'm not savvy enough to know what's going on...all I know is when I plug in my phone it works fine. If I let it go wireless through Uconnect bluetooth it sucks.

Same here for Uconnect’s Weather app. Navigation is working fine. Been this way since October. Once a month or so, Weather startles me by working. But only once.

@JeepCares, has anyone actually looked into this?

Hi all,

My brand new 2025 Grand Cherokee L Limited which I bought back in March has the same issues with the live traffic system as well as other screen freezes and crashes of the radio sw. Shortly after I contacted Jeep connect, and opened a escalated ticket. Hours later a case manager contacted me asking for details. Since then the performance of the TomTom live traffic system has improved substantially and now works almost perfectly. They already issued OTA software updates to my vehicle and the network. Issues with screen freezes and other crashes still remain, however the people @JeepCares, are aware and are looking into it. They know that many other vehicles are dealing with the same issues.

My point if any of you guys are still having issues with your live traffic or other issues with your Uconnect system reach out to Jeep Connect, open a escalated ticket, some one will reach out you for details. The more information they receive the better.
