It’s my first post and hopefully it will be helpful for anyone who may be wondering if a 38 will fit in the stock location.
as for the specifics, I do have a Clayton off-road rear track bar, and my tires are Toyo RT Pro 38x11.5 x 17”.
It’s a snug fit but not to bad, it’s actually easy to raise the tire into the seated position but you will have to guide the tire a bit so you have clearance from the track bar and exhaust etc.
1-I removed all of the air form the tire. It may have 1 or 2 ft/lbs left in it at most.
2-Secondly, I used a sawzall and my angle grinder to trim off 1/8” of the 2” receiver that protrudes into the spare tire area. Don’t cut off the factory weld, just kiss it with the blade. See pics for clarification.
3-Removed the heat shield. I am fully deleted so my exhaust is likely cooler at the tip than those who aren’t. If you’re concerned about heat, wrap some insulation around your pipe. I’m personally not concerned.
