Anyone ever deal with Injen replacement parts?

The tube on my injen was crushed/indented, and I contacted them for a replacement part, but they won't do anything without me sending them a copy of my drivers license. I'm not super into that. Has anyone had to deal with them before, or know of anywhere else I can get replacement parts where I don't have to do anything silly like this? It's the EVO5005, part number is X-15156

Like, damaged in shipping? Or you’re just trying to buy a replacement?

If it’s a shipping damage thing I would think that the invoice from your order would be enough to prove you are who you are.

If it’s a replacement I agree that’s a bit odd, I’d just ask why and go from there. They’re a small company, so who knows.

No way in would do that , thats a personal identifier. If it was me , it would be on to another company

Just buying a replacement part. I've had the intake for well over a year now. This is what they said when I asked why they needed it
"Our Orders Department requires a copy of your driver’s license for security and fraud prevention purposes. This helps ensure that all transactions are authorized and protects both you and our company"
Super weird. I have never seen this from other vendors.

That was my first thought when they asked me for my DL. It's tough to drop $400 on a new system when all it does it make the engine sound cooler though. I got the injen open box really cheap so I've been spoiled.

After a lot of back and forth, they let me use paypal(had to talk to multiple people and one of them is still insisting there's no other option but to give them my DL). Shipping cost was very high at $30, with a 5 to 7 business day delivery, and after I paid for everything they came back and said I needed to pay more money.
They said the crankcase fitting is a separate part, which is only able to be installed by them. The one I have that's fine cannot be reused. So if you have a bad crankcase fitting, you have to buy that and the tube. If you have a bad tube you have to buy the tube and the crankcase fitting. No exception, no way around it. They didn't include that bit of information in any of the discussions prior.
This will absolutely be my last Injen purchase. I'm done with the company. This was way more of a hassle than it should have been, the cost was way too high IMO(total was about $112), and the experience was just miserable.
I should have just told them to pound sand, and then went with a muffler delete to get that slight growl I want.

Its probably so when a certain 3 letter govt. Organization wants to persecute consumers they can handle over your information to them.
