Have seen some youtube videos on these seat jackers. 2 blocks you mount under the front of the seat and supposedly makes the seat more comfortable especially on long drives. Anyone have these and if so are they worth it? They are kind of expensive for what they are but if it means no more sciatic pain it may be worth it.

I didn’t go with Jackers, I went with several washers and longer bolt for a fraction of the cost. It does the same thing for way cheaper. I did have to go to a bolt supply place for the right thread and extra bolt length.

Thats a great idea what size washers did you use and what are the specs on the bolts you used?

Hahaha,...as I was writing about the washers and bolts, i had that thought in the back of my head that said, 'someones going to ask about the specs'! You didn't disappoint.

Those washers and bolts are still in my 21 JTR and it was written off last November. I was able to take every mod off of that truck and install on the 23 JTR.... I forgot to take those washers and bolts. I knew I had forgotten something and that was it. I remember, the washers were from Rona and the bolts were measured and sized up at The Bolt Supply House Ltd in Calgary.

I first pulled a bolt in the parking lot and went in to Rona and bought a stack of thick zinc large hole washers that fit the bolt. Then went to the Bolt supply shop and pulled the OE bolts up front and just loosened the back ones 1/4" and fit the washers under the front bolt holes until the seat was a comfortable fit under the legs. The OE bolts aren't long enough so I think all I needed was the same bolt but 1/2" longer and the employee at the Bolt Supply shop just went out back and found them. Sorry I don't have the measurements.

Thats still something I must do for this truck now before I start travelling around camping this summer. Long drives will not be comfortable if I don't get that done.

There is actually more to it than that. The real install requires cutting off the rear of the seat tracks to lower it in the back. Once you do it there is no going back. I am just as cheap as the next bastard and I thought long and hard about paying so much for what appeared to be so little before I took the plunge. They are actually a well engineered product that somebody put quite a bit of thought in to. So it is somewhat of a pain in the ass to install but I ultimately was glad I did it. It made a bigger difference than you would expect. I am 6 ft 4 and wasn't that unhappy with the stock set up but figured it I could make it better , why not give it a shot. It was worth the effort.

There’s a bunch of folks here who have them including myself. I love them and can tell the difference especially on long drives

Night and day difference. I have them in my JT but not in our JLU, and would much rather take the JT on long trips because of it.

Just installed mine yesterday and at least after a short test drive it seems great. I will say if you have Armolite flooring it’s kind of a pain to install. The side nearest the gearshift barely fits in position without cutting the flooring which I opted not to do, so a lot of cussing and screaming seemed to get it lined up well.

Seat Jacker installation tip: My blocks had powder coating in the threads. It would have saved me time and profanity had I caught it before I started the install. The blocks transformed the seating position. Well worth it.

You went with the Seat Slammer version. The Jacker version is spacers that go in the front mounts only.

I much prefer the Slammer version. I did it DIY.

Here's a cheaper version of the Slammer. And riser.
