If it did I would end up with a Willy's 41 and gas money for it as well. Still be able to keep the other Rubi.

I would trade the 4XE before it spontaneously combusts, but that’s just me. If your Rubicon is basically stock and you don’t use all the offroad options, and you don’t plan on doing a bunch of upgrades on a new one, the 41 Willys would be super cool.

Don't get me wrong I like the 4xe as it runs well. My issues are Jeep killed the value and made software changes that are limiting battery performance. In Hybrid mode it runs well.

Are you currently financing both vehicles and do you have any equity in them? Those are the most important considerations.

One is paid for and the other is close.

Personally, I like to minimize the number of things I have financed and unless you have extremely high mileage on them, ‘22 isn’t that old. I would likely dump the 4XE and just put some money into the Rubicon to get it to where you want. Making some modifications to it may offset the FOMO of the ‘41 Willy’s.

I chose to go with a ‘24 Rubicon over an older year because of the interior updates, but that was coming from a ‘06 Silverado that I paid cash for, and the ‘24 was a great deal with very low miles. I do enjoy the updates over the interior in my wife’s ‘22 JLU Sport S. I wrecked the Silverado so I had to replace it otherwise I would still be driving the paid-off rig that I could dump a decent amount into on modifications. (Lockers, gears and a lift were on the bench right before I wrecked it in January)

Zauto makes the NoLimitz module which is supposed to unlock the 4xe power even in 2wd. Also pull the connectors for the cellular and XM antennas as those both allow OTA updates.

Just remember, batteries have a "charge cycle rating" and once this rating is passed, the batteries deteriorate quickly, heat and cold accelerate that too (places like AZ or canada, for example). Lithium is not immune to this, and is more prone to temperature than lead-acid.

Just really depends on your wants/needs right now. Shiiiit, combine the two into a 4xe JT! I've considered this, if I were wealthy enough to allocate the parts needed, the JT is already 5k lbs, what's another 400 for instant torque and a manual transmission 😈

I am trying to decide whether to trade for a Willy's 41 edition or not. Currently have a 22 base Rubicon and a 22 4xe Rubicon and would have to trade both. I really like the looks of the 41 and it is pretty loaded. Only concerns are lockers, axles and gear ratio. Looking for Opinons.

No way , regret will be your friend .

While I really like the looks and conveniences of the Willys 41 I do not think I will be happy with the missing Rubicon features. Also not wild about the 2 for 1 thing except it would keep my note down. Pissed at Jeep for killing the 4xe value. Not having the 4.10 gearing, lift, 2-piece fenders, front and rear lockers and a few others. Mainly this will be trail riding which I know the Willy's can handle with no issues. I have been rock crawling in the past and want to do more again which the Rubicon is built for. Appreciate the advice and info.

Solid choice. That’s why I said what I said further up the thread. Going to other trims that don’t have all the fancy is great if you know exactly what equipment you want that Jeep isn’t going to offer you. If not interested in doing a full on gut the diffs ,transfer case upgrade, axle reinforcement type build stick with the Rubi. It will serve you well in pretty much any situation that you approach intelligently.

Did you make the move or still thinking? If and when you do please share those beautiful pictures of the 41 Edition Gladiator. Good luck

Understood 100%.. On the flip side you have a good trade chip or two when the time is right. Hopefully something worth while this year shows up and/or in the 2027/28 MYs. I am hoping Jeep gives us JT owners really really great trims & options before the next gen.
