Honestly, bring them on. I consider the Jeep I'm about to buy here to be my bridge to that future. If the future can do anything to alleviate range anxiety then I am in. Just don't take away the ICEs I already have.

Rivian is looking pretty cool to me. When the MSRP on a nice JTRD is over 60k, and a Rivian R1T can be had for right at 60k with incentives, it's pretty enticing. The charging infrastructure just isn't there for me yet. I want easier road trips.

I’ll be swapping my model Y in for an R1S

Ordered my '21 Rubi with a gasser. Really wanted the diesel but more concerned with dependability. And the diesel seems to be more complicated than what I wanted to deal with. I plan to keep it for a long time.

I'm in the exactly the same boat....reliability is key. Not to get into a brand war but I'm coming from my last 3 vehicles totaling over 450,000 miles without having a breakdown or being stranded. I'm frequently hundreds of miles away from home. The diesel would actually pay for itself for me outside of a major repair so I'm not concerned so much about $

If you could only have one car in the garage, which is it and why - The JT or the R1S (or Model Y)?

Depends on what you’re use case is. Electric vehicles are incredible but the real world range isn’t what they say it is. I’ll definitely be swapping my JT for an electric off road truck once real world range is 400+

Tesla in general is overrated IMO I haven’t enjoyed my Y the way fan boys say they do
