What is this, and why does it have a rocker switch running to it?

My buddy bought a 2021 Rubi diesel and found a rocker switch under his dash, and says its wired to this thing which was running to the BCM. We are trying to figure out what it might be for, any guesses? Gemini says either a SOTF tuner, locker bypass, or sway bar bypass. Nothing came up Googling the numbers.

I wondered if it was a kill switch type thing. Only reason I can think of to put a rocker under the dash trim.

Is this using the SGW connectors?

If so, I'd be more worried about getting my vehicle hacked over the cellular/XM connection than what the switch is for. I'd then unplug it as most thieves know what the SGW is for and where it's located.

I just purchased a 24 jeep compass for one of my grandsons last week, I noticed when they drove away with the car to their shop area to do some prepwork before taking it home, when they hit the brakes the brake lights flashed three times. No sooner than I asked the sales guy what the hell was that, he started pitching this new awesome feature that the dealership installs on all cars on their lot, and he says to me as he’s showing me the final pricing documents. He says it’s a security tracker and safety feature and only increases the bottom line an additional $600.00…and a small monthly service fee. My reply was, Remove now or I walk. He repeated himself three times on the great technology that it adds and the Value it adds to the Jeep. No less than three additional people on the lot, the Controller, the sale mgr and the service mgr all took a run at me to jump on this exciting new technology. After another 30 mins of bs from them, they had the service tech remove the device. Unbelievable. Stealerships, be aware!

The exact same thing occurred with me when I took delivery of my 25 Mojave last year. I had to argue with everyone in the dealership hierarchy before they finally gave in and removed it. I was real close to walking away but I really wanted that Mojave, so I hung in till I wore them out.

And when I asked to have the $300 charge removed for the 3 flash stop light, they said they would have to charge me to remove it. Nope, its a programmer option, easy 5 minutes. I also walked that night much to my wife's surprise. Funny how when you get non emotional, leave and when they do call back you are at an Audi dealership looking at a completely different option, they realize they have competition..... That was a fun transaction....
