Very interesting.

I had already seen that the Bronco will go to production November 2020 and hit show rooms Q1 2021, and that it will have the 2.7L EcoBust engine, rather than the 2.3L used in the Ranger, and that the doors will be stowable in the vehicle. But the fact that the roof IS removeable is a huge confirmation because it officially makes the Bronco a strong contender against Wrangler.

Allegedly, the truly new Ranger is going to be based on the same platform as Bronco, so there will be a brand new pickup offered around the same time, which of course is just one year after Gladiator hits showrooms. And there'll be a Raptor variant at that time. That'll be interesting.

"We’ve been waiting for the 2020 Ford Bronco since The Blue Oval brand revealed at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show that it was reviving the iconic nameplate."

I like David Tracy... but, seriously, just say Ford. LoL
Those were my tactics back in middle school to make the 500 word minimum on a paper...

I haven't really been keeping up with the competition, but wouldn't a Bronco based truck just be a Ford Ranger and vise versa? I had a Bronco II back in the 80s and was basically a Ranger SUV.
Not totally. The Gladiator is not completely a "Wrangler". There are differences else they would be built on the same production line.

On another note, one of my visits to Ford production development center last year let me see a JLU lifted up on a hoist and Ford techs were scanning every underneath component. If Ford is truly using the Bronco to take on the Wrangler, they will have a very good shot at it.

WXman is spot on from what I’m reading on the Bronco forum from insiders pertaining to the ongoing truck development. I wonder how the redesigned 2021 Ranger and Bronco truck will co-exist. Perhaps they will be similar to the JT and Dakota. Basically one will be more off road ready in its most basic package.

I understand the differences between the Gladiator and the Wrangler. My question was about the Bronco vs Ranger.

Ford is coming out with a Unibody pickup but my guess is its not the new Ranger (current Ranger is the OLD Ranger but new to the U.S.). Some rumors are of a Ford Ranchero that is smaller then the Ranger and will compete with the Dakota. They also have a baby Bronco coming out thats a SUV and looks like competitor to the Renegade (may they will use the Bronco II name for it) so maybe the unibody pick up is built off that same platform.

My guess is the new Ranger will come out within 1 year of the Bronco, and thats the one that the Raptor Ranger will be be based on for the U.S.

Neither one of these will bother me. I won't buy tho. And if Ford releases at national park, soup kitchen, American iconic place, and gravel voice guy says built Ford tough in America or whatever then I will loose the argument with my hillbilly friends because I drive a multinational. Just picture Christopher Walken driving Jeep as the Continental. LMFAO

It will be a four door and a two door!

Where’s 2015er when you need him.

Sounds like the chassis will be all new, unlike the all new 8yr old ranger with the Mazda based engine backed by the Partially GM designed transmission.

The demand for 2 door will be high, =)

personally i think some of the 4 door renderings i've seen of the bronco stink.

Unrealistic is what they are. Not trying to be a smart ass here. Photo type vehicles have one off tires to accentuate the design feel they are going for. Those tires will not make production.

What are the tires on this Bronco?
Not one clue. I do believe they will be more effective on mall speed bumps than blarney stones.
