Just found out from the Dealer my Gladiator order is D1 status, I also received a email from Jeep with a build sheet attached don't have a clue what that means. the order was placed 5-3

Going to rail 6-5-19, YES! MY dealer is great keeping me informed at every step.

Thats been the same for me, my dealer is terrible. I got stuck with the general sales manager vs a salesman for my purchase and he pretty much never responds. I'm going to give him the same courtesy when it finally arrives as I've decided not to buy it anyhow.. I will be ordering what I really want from elsewhere when it is available to place the order.

It really sucks that Chrysler did away with VOTS (Vehicle Order Tracking System). When I ordered my JK, it was extremely easy to track it through the entire process using VOTS. If I'm not mistaken, the tracking tool in this thread will show absolutely nothing until the vehicle is already built...which is most often weeks after the original order is placed. So apparently the only way to get reliable status updates is to keep pestering the dealer? And apparently dealers often have bad info. I found the VOTS system accurate and easy to use...strange that they would eliminate something that worked.

I was told by my dealer yesterday that I had a ship date of 5/20. Today Jeep Chat told me I was still in D1. I see no way that it ships Monday.

From what I understand, a ship date is the same as just getting off the assembly line. Once it has a ship date, it depends on when a rail car or auto transport will be going your way. Mine just went to D1 and I have a ship date of 6/1. That means I may get it at the dealer 1 to 4 weeks later depending on what else is leaving the plant storage lot.
I look at the inventory from Jeep.com web site. It shows what is in transit to my dealer and what is on his lot. One night I saw a new Rubi show up in inventory but it did not have a window sticker. The next day it had a window sticker. The dealer said I saw it when it was on the assembly line just before it was given a window sticker.

Thanks for the help. So if it leaves the factory on the ship date 5/20 and goes to the secret place to get the bed liner sprayed in I should see it shortly after. I live in the 419 just 45 minuets from plant.

My hope is to have it by Friday the 24th.

I would say thats correct. Unfortunately, I'm way down south so it may take two to four weeks for me to see it after the ship date. Unless I get lucky and the timing is right when they have other JL's going my direction.

There is a very logical reason they did away with VOTS as well as "different" channels of tracking info. It simply became a nuisance due to a few people who flipped their shit and would show up to a transfer yard and expect them to release "their" vehicle as well as other inconveniences that one can imagine.

The body vendors are pretty much on the same campus where they are built. If you're on the north side of the TAC just head due east and you'll drive right into the secret place.

Hello Ed,

Update: Your order is now posting a ship date of 5/28! This means it will be in transit starting on that date and likely will be here within a week or so after. If there are any further updates I will inform you as soon as I find out.

Looks like the LE's are on the roll. I have a 6/1 delivery date.
