My Gladiator purchase was YEARS in the making! All I've own are Jeeps. Started with a 1996 Cherokee Sport, then onto Grand Cherokee's, three in total. I used my Grand Cherokees for hauling most everything. Once I stuffed 33 bags of mulch in one! The guys at Home Depot thought I was nuts, but to each his own! Here's a short video I made justifying that I needed the Gladiator. I guess it worked too, and I couldn't be happier! What worked for you?

I told myself that I'm going to own this thing for a long time and my 3 year old will drive it someday. Hopefully that's true.

Bought a JKU in 08, put 45k miles on it. Had kids and grad school and no time. Sold it for $1k less than I paid for it.

If resale wasn't as good as it is on the Wrangler I probably wouldn't have ordered a gladiator, it definitely isn't a reasonable purchase. I've never purchased a new vehicle and paid cash for my last 5 or so. Even if the gladiator resale isn't quite as good as Wrangler, it makes it slightly easier to stomach the price knowing it'll be worth decent money when I'm done with it.

Ha! I told my 5 year old he could have it when he's 16, and ever since he keeps asking when I'm going to put a winch and bigger tires on it! Smart kid!

I started with an ‘87 Colorado Red Comanche which was my first new vehicle ever,
then an ‘89 Colorado Red Comanche which had AC and the straight six,
an ‘01 TJ,
a ‘12 JKUR Call of Duty,
a ‘67 M715.

Now it’s time to circle back to a red jeep truck before I die, which ain’t guaranteed with my Firecracker Red LE still in D1 status.

I'm sure I'll get that in a couple years. At 3 he's excited that we're going to have a Jeep Truck but he's not up to speed on the specifics of off-roading yet.

Kinda same here. My son was excited when I hopped the curb and drove through the front lawn to park in the driveway instead of doing it the 'normal' way. He did ask if I can drive through a swimming pool. I then explained snorkels and how an engine works :)

I’ve had a Jeep affair for many years it was my 1st new vehicle, i was 19 years old an 83 Jeep CJ-7 renegade it was my daily driver for 12 years. met my wife in it in 86 . Anyway it went on and on from there a 91 Sahara in factory flat green. A 91 Grand Wagoneer . 93 Cherokee sport, 97 Sahara, 2011 JKUR, 2005 LJ , 2014 JKUS. I always wanted a J20 but couldn’t find what i wanted. I had my eyes on the new Gladiator for awhile and I’m happy to have one.

- My brother bought a JK in 2009 and J-10 not long after, starting talking Jeeps.
- I bought my daughter a new Jeep Renegade in 2015.
- I bought my wife a new 75th Anniversary JK in 2016.
- Sold my 2013 Challenger in 2018 after learning the Gladiators are coming out in 2019 and said that was part of the down payment when it happens.
- Drove Ram trucks for over 20+ years and traded the Ram truck for the last time, used the money from the Challenger and took the plunge.

We now are a 3 Jeep family. No looking back and no regrets!

I've always liked Jeeps, but I've never owned one. I almost bought a Wrangler when I bought my Ram five years ago. I justified the Ram over the Jeep because I had just bought my first house and knew the utility of it would come in handy. Fast forward to two weeks ago when I saw a Gladiator sitting at the dealer while getting my truck inspected. I took it out for a test drive followed by a second one in a manual JL and placed my order that day.

GMC Sierra owner here; my wife’s first car was a Jeep that she had through high school and she loved it. Always been interested in Jeeps but would never own another vehicle without a bed. In comes the gladiator; best of both worlds. Showed my wife, told her it’s my next truck, and that at 100k miles on my Sierra I want to get another 3 years; she made me test drive the Jeep weeks later when they hit locally and told me to find a deal and buy. Went through Travis and patiently waiting.
