I don't want to burst any bubbles yet but it states "in transit". Prior to ordering mine I searched Auto Trader for a manual I found several "false positives" were the dealer failed to enter the information properly. I assume they just click the trim level and leave the default settings as is. So given the manual is the "standard" option it shows as such. My guess once that truck makes delivery it would be updated to show all options which likely include an automatic transmission.
Well you are defiantly bursting bubbles with your sensible logic.

Something's definitely fishy about that truck - VIN is 1C6JJTBG9LL125165 on the dealer's site, but the Window Sticker viewer isn't working on that one, and cryptostickers also cannot find any records for that VIN. We shall see once the unit hits that lot.

I’m at the point where i just want to wake up one morning and see a post about someone with a MT taking delivery, seeing the window sticker or something.

Yeah, while I liked the review and was cool to hear and see the manual running, you could tell he wasn't exactly dyed in the wool. You don't need to hear it, you can feel it in your foot and through your hand, center of your gut. I assume the engine and transmission aren't without any form of vibration. To be fair... maybe they're unbelievably balanced, I am buying one out of blind love of the notion of shifting and haven't driven one.... obviously. None of us here have, although there's probably a share of us that have driven JLs.

The only debate to me, if you love manuals, are the cold hard facts of reduced payload and towing. Resale isn't much of an issue, reduced supply and reduced demand balance nearly enough, at least in a Jeep where there are people like us that want manuals.
My Mercedes mechanic, a true genius and he just bought a Wrangler Rubicon, told me that the issue with JT MT towing capacity is not the cooling or even the clutch but the inability of most people these days to drive a clutch. He said if the clutch is handled properly, it can tow the same weight as the automatic.

I ordered my white Rubicon JT with manual on 4/27. VIN issued 5/13. Still in D status as of yesterday.

Good post. I was also wondering if the limited share of manuals would affect delivery time.

For anyone second-guessing their decision to get a manual, i found this article helpful:
https://www.extremeterrain.com/wrangler-jeep-automatic-versus-manual-transmissions.html

I have doubts about that video posted recently on manuals--the guy doing the video seems not to be very experienced with manual. Hard to believe it would stall because the engine is too quiet.
Good news: Got a call from Customer Care last week saying i would probably be in D1 status by early this week.
Bad news: Now they say check back next week.

D status. I wouldn’t get too excited. I have been here over 35 days.

I figured it was D status. Just a different way of saying it

Just checked with chat - despite some others possibly getting to D1, I am still in D status today. Now day 31
