Not sure what I can contribute besides piling on...but in my initial test drive of a Sport S with Max tow and stock tires, the steering was as described...drifty. I didn't feel that I was able to get it to track straight and hold or self-center without minor input. It just would not stay put. Old timers would say alignment, but with electric over hydraulic and computer controlled feedback capability, I am not so sure of that and think that it isn't quite where it needs to be. Change the variables like tire size or just the psi, add a stabilizer, add a bit more toe-in, and you could dampen the effect.

Some may not see it at all. I had forgotten about what I had read on the JL subject prior to my test drive, but immediately saw the issue around 45mph+ as I relaxed into the drive getting past the nerves of driving the not-mine new vehicle.

My ONLY 2 whiney-bitches are due to my own doing, and I know it:
1. Mileage SUCKS! so far 14.4 mpg.
2. ALOT of wondering on the interstate. I'm at exactly 32 psi cold, heats up to 35 psi hot. I'm thinking about taking them down to 30 psi cold this AM before driving to see if that helps.

37s have costs... :CWL:

I just saw a module advertised that makes the ESS stay off after tuning engine off/on. I don't remember where I saw it, but it's out there..google it. It plugs in under the dash and doesn't affect any other function.
Super Chips makes a flashcal for it that will do that and a lot more.

anyone else feel the stereo speaker vibrating the steering wheel? (and no, I do not jam it that loud) When it is up to 1920 is, I can feel it annoyingly vibrate I like to turn it up once in a while and expect something, but not at normal most of the time levels.

I just had to go to Lawton OK and back, I drove the trip both ways at 70 mph. I had mpg of 18.8 plus I did not have any steering issues. I know if I'd because 14 hours straight you will quickly pick up on any issue. My dashound that is 12 years loves the heated seat for when she gets wet to help her arthritis.

Yesterday I test drove an Overland on the freeway briefly, got up to about 70 and no steering play issue noted. Felt great.

Add Auto Park to my list of dislikes. I pretty much hate this safety feature, as a contractor Im in and out of this truck multiple times and many of those times its only to move the truck a few feet. Having to shut the door or plug in the seatbelt sucks when doing this..

I bought this 13” aftermarket antenna for the JT and it reaches further than the OEM antenna, plus looks much more sporty. Also can’t even see it from the drivers seat and low profile if off roading. It’s a keeper. Also have the same one on my JK.

The Flashcal also disables ESS (engine stop/start) feature. If anyone has ordered a flashcal, is there is a warning light or alert on the display screen after disabling it?

Eh...there's a good reason it was added. The shifter of the 2014 Jeep GC (including the one in my SRT) had a design flaw. You'd *think* you were in Park...but you really weren't...you were in NEUTRAL. You'd go to get out of your car in your inclined driveway and the car would start rolling backward! I definitely had this happen multiple times to the point I would always triple/quadruple tap my shifter into Park just to make sure I was. A patch was installed to all FCA vehicles because of this flaw and recall, so now when you open a door or don't buckle your belt and your car stops, you'll know why from the following story:

Aactor Anton Yelchin (Star Trek) parked his GC in his driveway, got out to get the mail and ended up being killed when his GC rolled backward thinking it was in Park, but it was in Neutral...pinning him against a security gate.

From the article:
"[In 2015], NHTSA began investigating the unconventional gearstick design on these cars, which was causing crashes because drivers were mistakenly shifting to neutral when they thought they were shifting to park.

With a regular gearstick, drivers choose a transmission option (park, reverse, neutral, drive, etc.) by moving the stick into the corresponding notch or detent. Drivers can feel the stick settle into position.

But a new, different, design was used in the cars affected by the recall, which include certain recent models of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Jeep Grand Cherokee."
