First time taking it off road and it preformed perfectly. The only issue which is known is the longer turning line. I was able to control my speed easily and had no issues stalling or finding the right gear. Only got it stuck once which almost flipped me over I think the longer bumper saved my arse on that one.

I agree with both of you. Part of the problem is we live in a world where people expect a "first in, first out" when it comes to their custom orders. The reality is FCA has to plan to manage and keep a production line going practically 24/7 and those shortages have to be planned around and people bumped back to wait.
People have to realize that it's money that keeps fca alive. There not going to build just your custom order and spit it out to you in a blink of an eye. There going to wait until there is similar builds and build them all at once. Then wait until there are builds close enough that are going to your area to fill a train to be sent to your general location. Do you know how much money they would lose if they just built your custom build in between other builds and on a train that's empty or a cargo truck that's empty to be shipped to you? Your jt would go up 5k in a heartbeat.

Rex, anyone ever told you, that you worry too much? As stated a day or two ago in this thread, occasional towing is no big deal for these M/T Gladiators, especially if the less than 3K pound range. The machine is more than capable of doing what you describe. Driving a M/T (with or without a trailer) will become easier with time and practice. I still stall my JK every now and then because I can't hear/feel the damn engine and I've driven M/Ts everyday since I was 16. I love having to shift and the "feel" I get between the road and the vehicle, even more so when towing. You're making the correct decision and heck, if you don't like it, I'm damn sure you won't have a problem finding someone new on here who would want it (without having to wait on FCA)!!
Thanks for slapping me back to reality. I do tend to over react

My Rubicon M/T showed up Thursday and I traveled 5 hours to TN from GA to pick it up. It was a long wait for the 6-speed, and there were times when we almost canceled for an auto. After putting almost 400 miles taking the back roads home I can say it was well worth the wait. I absolutely love this Jeep!

Everyone realizes this. Peoples complaint is being fed bullshit and not being told that manuals were technically late availability. They knew that shit when they went on sale put a disclaimer on it like they did with the color choices. I've read multiple people say I don't mind waiting as long as I had some kind of realistic idea instead of BS.

Production of any product is bullshi$ let alone mass production of a vehicle. I totally agree with you that they should have said Manuel jts were late availability and they dropped the ball on that but don't expect them to personally call you up and say hey sorry we screwed up. There a billion dollar company with so much going on that delayed mts on a jt are the least of there worries. It's trial and error and after all this is the first year of production. I can see the pain and frustration with every post I see but cut them some slack, there working round the clock to make the best vehicles they can hand to you

I definitely agree, I can't imagine what goes into managing a product line so complicated that's why I refuse to buy one off lot and spend more money than I planned.

After 26+ years in the automotive industry, working for Borg-Warner Automotive, that if everyone buying a new or used vehicle watched one being assembled from start to rolling off the line under it's own power, a person would then understand what it takes to fill an order. Or, if and when it breaks they would have a completely different outlook. Understanding. I know. I've watched vehicles assembled. At Jeep in Brampton, Ontario Canada and Ford in Louisville, KY, Kansas City, KS and the Twin Cities plant in Minnesota. I was like a kid in a candy store. And I still am to this day. Which is why I'll order my Jeep Gladiator and wait for my "child to be born".

Finally picked mine up yesterday afternoon. It’s well worth the wait. The shifts are smooth. The ride is absolutely amazing. I love this truck and I’m so happy with picking a manual. Guys that are still waiting just hang in there. It’s worth it!!

Yanked from behind and picked a different line. No damage the whole trip and that was the only time I was stuck. This thing is impressive in the mud. Id post some videos but I can't seem to figure out how. It keeps giving me a error message.

Don’t feel bad. I also got an error message when trying to upload a 6 second video. So I just uploaded pictures instead.
