I was really waiting for gator to come out to make the decision, really on the fence. I was hoping it was a darker green like the jeep rendering...

Don't worry, my wife is dead set on me getting this color; and I'm sure by the time I see it in person, with tan seats, tan hard top and wheels I'll love it.

I used to think I had a notion of how things worked. And then I ordered a Black since Gator wouldn't be out until September, on May 11. Almost 12 weeks later and it hasn't started being built.

I'm on course for 16 to 24 weeks. So worst case January through March? Others took delivery in 4 or 5 weeks. Granite LE not even VINs. My advice... set no expectations, no matter how reasonable you think they might be.

This was my dilemma. I saw everyone that was having the GCLE issues, and coupled with my lease being up in November, I just didn't want to chance the possibility of waiting for Gator (assuming it will even be eligible to order on it's scheduled day, which we all know won't happen) of being vehicle-less or having to rent. I LOVE gator, but I also fell in love with a Punk'n Rubi JL I saw at a dealer, so I ordered a Punk'n JT August 1st to ensure I gave myself 12+ weeks of wiggle room. I also loaded that bad boy up in case I get bored and want to trade it in/sell it early for Gator (should be able to recoup most of my D/P by getting it for so cheap under invoice).

Now watch, I'll get it in 4 weeks and be stuck with 2 payments until I can trade in my other lease. (And the Punk'n Crowd goes wild!!!!)

I went a different route. Knew i wanted a JT, wasn't willing to wait for Gator for now, so I just got a White Sport S, and when lease is up hopefully Gator will still be a color, with either a plug in hybrid setup, or the 3.0 straight 6 Turbo that's rumored.

If not, i'm sure they'll have other cool colors, I can keep my white JT, or buy a used Gator JT.

Depending on when it gets in, I’ll make my lease vs finance decision, but ultimately I might try to do a finance with a balloon and after 4 years possible trade depending on value

All I can say is that they better not mess up the Gator color, I have started saving for an absolutely minimal Gator Diesel that I plan to build up as some kind of a dystopian zombie apocalypse mobile that can take me places overlanding .

I just think it is impossible to say what color looks nice cuz it looks so different in person as opposed to the monitors

I hope you do, if you end up rowing my sort of boat, it won't be started getting built when your lease is up. I'm at 13 weeks and no idea when the build and ship clock will start. Couple extra payments would be preferable.
