Been eyeballing those for bit already. Did those Hikari LED headlight bulbs fit inside the OEM housing with the dome cap on?
Yes. I didn't change anything other than the bulb.

Because of the great deal i got and the fact that it met my minimum requirements, Auto and Max Tow ( and even in Silver) I did not custom order .

I did not get Sirius or hard top. No big deal. I like the soft top and sunrider and run bikini 6-7 months out of the year, but have never had the HT in 5 Wranglers. Sirius was great in the F150 I just sold. Still have the account, Looking into options.

These two above are low budget. Stuff like heated seats and some of those safety features and big screens or Alpine are things would not afford myself. Understand other's might prioritize though.
The Sirius app can be used through Android Auto.

Since this may be the last truck I ever buy (unless I win the lottery), I used the configuration tool and added every option possible. I then compared that to dealer inventory in the valley (and at the max distance available). There was only one truck that was even close among all the dealers. It was only missing the body color hardtop, the tonneau cover, the all-weather slush mats, and the engine block heater. I can live with the black hardtop, I bought the mats off Amazon, and the dealer added the Mopar ($595 list price) tonneau cover. I can add a block heater, later, when they can be ordered, but will probably go with an oil pan heater. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PM87W3I/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

I did read in another post that you don't get the carpet if you order the all-weather slush mats from the factory. I like the carpet, and placed the mats over top (did not cut out the drain holes), so that actually worked out better for me. I can order a body color hardtop, if I want one. The dealer said it would be around $3500. It was also missing the hardtop headliner, but I ordered a Hothead set for less money.

What color Jeep did you get?

I got a white one. That was my preferred color, living in the desert, and having a black truck for the last 14 years. It actually looks pretty sharp with the black top. My other color choice was blue, but I did not want to order and wait for one.

My build is geared towards my goal of only using this vehicle for fun. This will mean top down cruises for ice cream, tailgating, camping, cycling adventures, and maybe a trip to Home Depot once and a while. This will be a third car for my family and will not be used as a daily driver. I am keeping my car for the time being.

Gladiator Overland (Orange or Blue...haven't decided yet, but right now leaning towards blue)
Dual Top Group (gets me the tonneau cover)
Packages:
Standard trailer tow (For my small utility trailer or my 4 bike hitch rack)
LED Lights (The only reason I got the Overland)
Cold weather Group (It gets cold here)
Auxiliary switch group (Just in case I need additional electrical accessories for camping or tailgating)
Cargo Management Group (makes tailgating and camping easier for racks and AC power)

For a commuter car, I would opt for some of the safety and driver aids, but I am opting out for the Gladiator. I worry that some of the driver aids would limit my ability to mod the vehicle in the future.

Is there anything that you all feel I could either live without or need?

I would probably add the proximity locks, but I know some people don't like them (I really like that feature on my daily driver). That's the only option that tempts me on the Overland. By the way, the LED headlights are on the Mopar accessories list, so your dealer should be able to swap them on a Sport or Sport S.

Thank you for the info. I had tried the link earlier, but I didn't want to log in to Facebook at work.

I kind of like the idea of getting all the lights as LEDs. But if the LED headlights are genuine Mopar accessories with a factory warranty, it would save me a couple thousand dollars between the Overland and the Sport S.

Huh, it's not working for me anymore even when I log in. But they were on the list and are the same as the ones for the JL. Quadratec has them listed as in stock, mopar part #82215136AD. Note these are just the headlights, though the LED foglights are also available separately and LED taillights can be had from the factory on a Sport S with the addition of the active safety group package. I'll definitely be looking at the headlights for my future Gladiator as I've had them on other cars (including my daily driver).

I will ask the dealer about the Mopar LED lights when I place my order this week. If this is an option, it will save me about $3500 between the Overland and the Sport S.

One other question I have is regarding the dual top option. My plan would be to switch between the tops each Spring and Fall season. Can anyone chime in about the wisdom of getting both tops? I worry about the durability of the soft top when left on year round due to sun degradation, and falling things damaging the soft top. but storing the hardtop is a pain.

My scrambler has both tops. The full soft top is easy enough to fold, but then I worry about the large windows getting scratched, and the folded top getting damaged as well. Removing and storing the half hardtop is a PITA...But so worth it in the summer.

Thanks again for the feedback.

$1300 for the Alpine upgrade is a waste of cash. Little bit more thump from the sub but the rest sounds just like the standard system. I wish I could have that money back to use on a bumper and winch. :(
The standard radio with knobs is not that great either... I love the hard buttons! But, probably the middle option is the most mature/developed option. The standard radio software is primative. It will not let you listen to the radio and use your phone GPS via bluetooth at the same time. The voice command is sufficient for voice calling but little else. I also noticed some vibration in the speakers maybe because they're cheap or something...
