Hi there! So, new to the forum, sold my 16JK and about to take delivery of my Gladiator Overland (getting kevlar paint and lift done as we speak). I saw some renderings on here of the shells and come to find out a good friend is a wizard with Fiberglass. So we are in the process of finishing up a 3d rendering in CAD so we can make a mold and then his main vendor is able to make it finished with windows and hinges etc. Is anyone interested in learning more once we build the first one in this type? Or another type as he is thinking of making a couple molds and building a few spec models to make commercially available. There is a company called Aero X that makes one for the Raptor which I included as how this will end up. (no louvres) just a solid piece of glass in back hatch. Anyways, curious if I am the only one interested in this. The gladiator attached is the one I am getting but i am doing black kevlar roof, and the fastback shell will be black kevlar and going with different wheels.

Well ordered a SG Rubicon on 7/28 from Criswell and got my VIN# on 8/1 and got D status on 8/6 and now D1 status 8/14 and estimated ship date of 8/22. I am not holding my breath but would be happy if it works out!!

I want an extended version of the wrangler top that will fit on the Gladiator. Tell your friend to make that. I think it would be popular.

I wouldn't recommend the fastback looking tops for mass production. I'm not sure what function they serve.

I think if you go more the overland look (think Defender), you'll have people knocking your door down with requests.

I would say, most people that get a shell want to be able to carry cargo without it getting rained on or stolen.

I'm interested in a shell possibly, I'm not interested in that at all.

If I am going to add the weight, I expect to gain all the additional cargo capacity I can get to go with it.

I’d never consider that. It serves zero purpose IMO

I would consider a square shell with strength for the roof though.

What does kevlar paint cost?

There was a rendering by the same person of the shell that made it look kind of like the old K series Suburbans. I'd like to get a topper like that. I imagine it replacing the roof and sliding on so that my bed space was covered and open to the cab so it would get some heat. I want to keep my dogs in the bed partitioned off so that they aren't getting their hair all over my new truck but they have to have a heated space in winter. Something like these. If not then I'd just keep the bed uncovered.

Yes one version is fast back and other is similar to this. There was a total of 4 renders done by JGF and these 2 we liked the most.

Its all over the board but full job should be around $3500 with warranty. Line-x is closer to $5k
