Standard soft top is stock.

The soft top is a cheaper vinyl than the up grade you get with the duel top.

But if you order the hard top, you don't get the cheap soft top also.
This is super annoying. Similar to the issue with the all weather mats that you don't get the carpeted ones also. I'm paying for an upgrade, but instead getting a replacement.

But it is cheaper. If you intend to destroy the carpet then either pay for nothing and go aftermarket e.g. armorlite, weather tech etc. OR pay for nothing and buy the factory protection. Or, if you don't intend to destroy the carpet then I suppose there are aftermarket options too - but the point is they don't build it into the price of the vehicle because they expect owners to DIY. Same with the roofs. I bought the hardtop because I will never need a softop and am glad I didn't have to pay for the shitty softop...

I think what I am saying is that one thing Jeep sort of does well is assume owners will customize. The new prices are already crazy high as it is...
