Nope still no locking tailgate but you can get a lock and install it yourself or have dealer install it I own a gen1 and have been following and have been waiting for the 2020 to come out. 2019's have been out seen Jan 2018 almost 2 full years for 1 model without a refresh.. Recent info has this about the 2020's
Coming Soon
The 2020 Honda Ridgeline is on the way, with a thorough redesign which includes a wide range of upgrades and added features.
2020 Honda Ridgeline Design
The new truck will feature revamped interior and exterior styling, including fresh LED headlights, leather seats, a refreshed grille and frontend, and an updated instrument cluster.
2020 Honda Ridgeline Powertrain
The new Honda Ridgeline is expected to arrive with 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque from a 3.5-liter V6 engine, offering you more than enough power to take on the task at hand. Also available is all-wheel-drive, giving you plenty of confidence and control of the road and the trail.
2020 Honda Ridgeline Features
The new Honda Ridgeline is expected to have Wi-Fi support, smartphone integration, and an expanded Honda Sensing® safety system suite, which will include Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more.
My 2012 ride great but very much needed the techno update the gen2's has. Never had a flat tire in the six years of ownership, not much off roading for me thou and not having a locking tailgate is jacked up. You can get 2019 RTL-E for around $36,000 now and i have been considering this or a 2020 as my next vehicle. I currently have a 2012 RTL and a 2014 Rubi X, i was going to sell both and just have one vehicle. I'm retired and do love my jeep thou.

I swear i priced out an all options Ridgeline Black Edition last year and it was $54,000. I do it today and its only $45,000. I know that's not what most here are looking for, but has anybody noticed a huge price drop in them? Maybe its cuz i looked RIGHT when they came out?
Before they came out with the Gladiator, the Ridgeline really interested me. Since I don't need a truck bed for much, weekend honey do list and runs to the dump, I liked the more car like ride but still able to tow my boat. But I knew if I had the Honda, i would have to have my convertible also and I don't have room for 3 cars. So glad the Gladiator came out

Good points! I will have to look again, but I don't think I am a huge fan of the front. Not "trucky" enough. Remember though, other than the sport with the max tow, the numbers on the other Gladiator trims are about as lame as the 5k for the Honda...
My max tow came in at 48,000.

I never saw a Black Edition Ridgeline at 50,000, and I have had 2 Ridgelines.
I have the RTL-E and it was also in low 40’s
