Any fellow gym rats here?
I started lifting a few years ago, even though I'm almost 40 years old its going ok.
We've been doing some log press.(Strongman stuff)
It's been a ton of fun learning a technical lift. I got 160lbs today (bodybweight is 168lbs).

Ive been slowly working I bench press. Been stuck in the 225lb area for a while. Working hard on getting that up.

Anyone else hitting it hard?

Damn nice.
My deadlift is horrid. My lower back just hates it. The ability to walk afterward is just too good to pass up.

Im way late to the party.
Born with a heart defect and was discouraged all my life from doing much gym stuff. Had my heart reconstructed, new valve in 2012 and eventually was able to get in the gym. Hard to keep up with the young guys who just wake up and bench 315 but I do good for me.

I was a D1 athlete in college and heavy lifter for 9 years after school. Then I ruptured a disc on an ego deadlift @ 650 at 30 and made it much worse 6 months later when I hit a tree without a seatbelt on.

Since then I’ll go through periods of light gym work but I’ve managed to gain 90lbs. Looking into disc replacement currently because I turn 40 next year and don’t wanna cut my life short by continuing to gain more marshmallow status

Going from 35 chin ups to zero really, really sucks

I guess the old fart here.

Sixty-two.

Gym four days a week, twenty minutes of mixed cardio, then movin' metal.

Monday, Max chest & tris, light squats, core

Tuesday, arms, core

Thursday, Light weight, high rep, chest, and tris, core

Friday, back and shoulders, core

VA docs ask if I'm a cyborg, a terminator, or an alien.

No meds, numbers good, have a hard time putting weight on.

Banged up a bit from Military service, so I'm limited what I can do.

Good to hear youngin's say, "Geesh, look at that old guy, he can move some weight and he does it slow! FREAKY!"
