This is not true. GATOR is not available to order in any configuration.

I think your information is incorrect. I'd trust @spenchey over a random forum post. This is also backed by several folks who have ordered Gator in the last few days:

Dealer may need to enter as a sold order to get the options to show up. Sounding like it's only available in dual top with black hardtop + tonneau cover, but it's definitely available to order (with some top restrictions/limitations).

To be clear (transparent?), I don't buy vehicles the traditional way. In the past, I've had 4 dealers negotiate via RFP, and go with the winner. In this case, with Spencer being close-ish, consistently providing clear pricing numbers up front, and being a sponsor of the forum, he's provided my detail-oriented self with the necessary data to crunch my numbers and earned trust. The local dealer, OTOH, respected my privacy rather than insist on contact information, and it seems some dealers are getting the hint that when buying cars is easier people buy them more often. So it's pretty much going to be one of those two. I can be matter of fact and up front regarding expectations, and treat this like any other purchase rather than a hassle.

May want to try a different dealer then. If you plan to order from @spenchey, then this is your thread. Like he said, he can order you one today.

Otherwise, you may want to hang out on one of the Gator threads, where you can compare notes with several other folks who have already ordered Gator, including the first VON we've seen:

Yea, I'm going to go out on a limb and trust spencer, who has helped dozens of forum members order vehicles successfully without a single complaint.

How about you go to that dealer, tell him to put in Gator as a sold order, and take a picture of gator greyed out on the screen, then we'll believe you.

Otherwise, let's just assume @spenchey is the expert here, as he actually "IS" a dealer.

Just cause a dealer is big, doesn't mean they aren't misinformed. I shopped at plenty of large Tri-State dealers, and most of them had zero idea of what they were talking about.

Also, did I underestimate on dozens? do you keep track of how many happy forum members walk through your doors?

Were at 45 deliveries of gladiator right now. Not all of them were members here but pretty close to all of them were so far as we really haven't been able to keep anything in stock for very long, our local customer barely get a chance to look at one
