This bed cover is actually for a Chevy Colorado, but it fits like a glove and it's $150 bucks on Amazon. Look for the "MaxMate" brand or the Tyger brand.

This maybe a stupid question, but if the soft cover for the Colorado fit, I wonder if a camper shell for the Colorado will fit also??

Finally getting around to installing this. Has anybody tried the optional brackets on the last page of the instructions? I think I've read somewhere else that the rail system in the Tacoma is close enough that people have gotten mounts to work. I wonder if these $17 brackets give it a better fit.

Woah, nice find! Not sure it's strictly necessary as the regular mounts work even with the trail rails, but that setup might make install/removal easier and quicker as the brackets barely fit in the rear.

Edit: I went ahead and ordered them, will make it easier when I take it off for the bed rack and vice versa.

I had a hard time getting the regular mounts on properly, mostly the 2 toward the tailgate. They’re not locked in as well as they should be

Did you ever install these? If so, did it work with the trail rail system by simply sliding into the track?

They have a 15-18 roll-up one and a 15-19 trifold. Your box says 15-19 but roll-up and your link points towards the 15-18. Just wondering which one you have. Ones 149 and one is 169.

Yes that's it. Looks like the price went up a few bucks but still a heck of a deal.

I suppose you COULD force this open. The latches are heavy plastic. But, it does feel rather secure to me. I had a factory bed cover like this on my F-150 and this feels just as high quality as that did.

I also got the one for 15-19 it looks like. The mounts aren’t as perfect as I had hoped, but holding great a week later. And I drive all 65/75 mph each day.

I ordered 1 to test out before I spent another $17 on a 2nd one, but seem to have misplaced it. Wife probably hid it somewhere, so I'll try to find it tonight and test fit it (so I can order another for the other side if it works). You only really need them for the rear mounts, the front ones fit fine and would block moving or adding/removing other trail rail accessories to the side rails if mounted.

I think they'll be exactly the same - they probably just added the 19 when the new model year rolled around. Get the cheaper one (I believe I have the $149 version).

edit: mine says 15-18 but is the same part no. TCC169012

I've had it on for about a month and it's worked perfectly so far, no leaks and no flapping or anything. Pretty happy with it for $149.

Appreciate it. I actually opted for the Access LITERIDER cover since it will work with the @JcrOffroad bed rack.

EDIT: This will work with the Mopar trail rail, but not connected TO the trail rail. No idea yet if this will work with @BuiltRight future trail rail, but what I show you below should make it work to connect TO the trail rail.

Out of the box this cover won't connect to the mopar trail rail. The mount for the tonneau (in my hand) is designed to curl up under the lip of the bed and squeeze the tonneau rail between the two halves of the mount.

With the trail rail you can't get up under the "lip of the bed" UNLESS YOU GO TO THE FAR SIDES. But you can easily fab up a tab like I did. My rail is made of wood, but with the Mopar one you would just need to bolt the tab to the rail. Same principle I assume, but i don't have a mopar rail.

No, it works with the trail rail. You have to put those on the ends where the top rail of the bed bumps out (under the rolled up tonneau in your pic). The ones at the front of the bed fit easily but at the rear they're angled and don't fit great (but work). See the video in post 11.

Correction, if you want to connect it to the rail.

This is the one I ordered awhile back after reading WXman's post!
Tyger Auto T1 Roll Up Truck Tonneau Cover TG-BC1C9012 Works with 2015-2018 Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon | Fleetside 5' Bed
I paid $169.99 with free shipping.
Insanely inexpensive for what you get!

I'm pretty sure the one everyone is getting for $149, MaxMate, is in fact the Tyger... It looks exactly the same including stock numbers.
Only difference I see is the back tag on mine says Tyger..

It fits like a glove after you get it positioned just right.
I have never had a drop of water get in the bed and supposedly helps with MPG! smile..

I did trim the aluminum clamp hooks to fit a little better.
I cut back the top hook to allow the clamp to move further to the outside of the rail.
This allowed a more vertical positioning of the clamp.

The kit came with 4 clamps, but I ordered 2 more for 3 on each side... Just a little more security and added attachment points to the bed.

My best invest so far, and probably the least expensive...

Ah so no way you can put a rack on it too? Does it take up most of the side?
